File manager allows you to upload upto 3 files at a time (unless you zip them up).

FTP allows to upload entire folders one file at a time.. automated..
Also allows you to make a 100% backup of the files on your site by doing the upload thing in reverse and downloading each file to your PC including the folder structure.

FTP is the preferred method of web site file transfer.

Focus on one thing, nothing screams "I'm New to the Interwebs" then a page that tries to cover just about everything. Everyone is guilty on this one when they first start out, but some never grow out of this phase.

Yep. I'm just starting to grow out of this phase now. (But my site's temporarily horrible.)
I'm gonna convert it to a PHP game with a friend of mine.

I have followed both sets of instructions and have not been able to get it to work.  I am using avg8.0 could this be blocking communication?  I see that others posted this same problem but they never said if they got it to work.  If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

how do i add a web track to keep count of how many people come to my site.

On each page (in the footer area is best..) you need to add some code to count the visitors...

You can get some nifty code here:   http://www.statcounter.com/

Here is a live demo of it in action:  http://my7.statcounter.com/project/standard/stats.php?account_id=1222777&login_id=3&code=6b31a31b66cbdf8ecd881c7a9350f905&guest_login=1&project_id=1773020

As you can see it collect a wealth of information about your visitors...   and all for free.

So sign up for a free account and get the code to put on your site.

I got an issue. I got FileZilla and I got through everything but when I try to connect it says "Could not connect to the server." Is there a way to fix this?

You are on Box 17 where FTP is disabled by default.  In order to use FTP you will need to get the FTP upgrade from here:  http://www.110mb.com/upgrade-free-plan.php
