If 110mb is ever down this will tell you what's happening. It's separately hosted, so will always be up. smiley

Power failure in building. Extreme heat heat Amsterdam so the buildings air conditioning likely drained to much voltage, hence power shut down.

That sucks, how can a data center not have backup power supplies/UPS?

And if the power fails at night? Pretty pointless without a battery backup, and that is what a UPS is.
Of course, a standby generator would be handy....

The power loss was because it was too hot so it must have been in the daytime hence making solar panels a good idea.
Though a backup generator would be more efficient.

Krissy, thanks for putting this up.

Amstardam usually has cold weather all year round. But when you get an unusual 30 degree day, the air conditioners are not conditioned to regulate/control that much heat. Hence irregularity causes the outage.

But they fix it, and prepare it for future same occurrences. Hence doesn't happen again.

Lol, this is actually an incredibly useful thing. I was wondering why I couldn't get online on saturday. Now I know... Where is the 110mb.info server etc based then if its not inside the main building? Just a thought.
