Hello, I tried some time ago to install Gallery 2.3 (from gallery.menalto.com), using the package with ALL the languages in it, but even though I chose Italian (my language) during install time, it goes back to english in the subsequent installation phases and it stays stuck on englis even after I completed installation and tried reconfiguring it.

So, before I try once again, I would really love to have the output of the command "locale -a" on box14 (or at least a list of the locales available on it) so I could at least tell the guys of Gallery2 who I think is the culprit. :p

A link to... what?  I was just asking the admins if they could give me the output of the shell command "locale -a" on box14

I've reinstalled gallery2 (http://gallery.menalto.com) and it is STILL in english language

(dangit, I'm italian, I want my photo gallery to be in ITALIAN )

calm down. Admins need time to look at all the posts. in the meantime other members in this forum tries their best to help. If you snap at them, they are less likely to help you.
Most of the time you can resolve a problem without admin intervention.

Ah, ok... but it's a problem either of the gallery software, or of non-existent locales on the server. I'd rather check first if locales are really installed or not on box 14, before trying again or before going to menalto forums asking them to pretty please redo the part of language detection, because it doesn't work, not even by changing the preferred languages in the browser's settings...

(the funny thing is that wordpress did a better job of localizing their software in different languages)

Funny, I did some searching in the forums and I thought that 110mb had installed locales on the boxes... ^_^
