Ajax Expert please respond !!!

Hi there, i have a script that can allow users to add favorite posts and then show them in the sidebar in a list but is there a way with ajax to make this without refreshing the page ( this is bcz im having a video blog and i don't want the music to stop every single time you click add to favorites ).

seems to me its quite impossible to modify wordpress to something like that. because i believe it would changed like 50% of the core wordpress files and the name itself to ajaxpress (this does not exist, don't google).

I am really sure though, might still be possible. i don't have a good understanding of wordpress. but it does seems really interesting.

AJAX is just the user interface; it should definitely be possible to write an AJAX theme. Notably, the ExtJS theme for Wordpress fits the bill.

hmmm... then, maybe razor should use that theme (then edit it based on to his likings).. then, make his mp3 player none-ajax

Wowww people way off the topic here. You all know in blogs when u post a comment usualy the page refreshes because the form sends data to the database and so on, Ajax comments offers you to stay on the same page without refresh and send the comment, this other plugin im using also stores info about your favorite posts in the database and i thought if possible to make the same like with ajax comments. EX you have shoping carts ( check http://www.prestashop.com/demo/) when you add new item it doesnt refresh the page but does this fancy ajax effect. Thats all i guess.

Ok let me clear myself here, First i know that what i'm asking can  be done through Ajax programing and second i don't want the whole word press to be recoded but only this tiny plug in which for sure can be done. This is the link to that plug in http://www.kriesi.at/archives/wordpress-plugin-my-favorite-posts. Since comments can be submitted without refreshing the page this can be done too the same way and its only this plug in not the whole word press or template, that makes no sense... Which one of you is pro in Ajax ?
