I bought the ability to back-up my website yesterday and it was enabled today and I was wondering what's suppose to happen when I back-up my database.

When I tried to back-up my database a screen came up a few minutes after I started the back-up and it said the back-up was successful.

What do I do if something goes wrong and I need to use the back-up?

Check the root of your directory there should be a .zip file of the back up on there, you can download that and put it on your personal computer if you'd like.

Inside there will be some sql files and when you need to back up you can use 110dbmanager (You can download it somewhere on these forums... do a quick search) and then login, go to your table and you'll see import database. This is where you can upload the file if something goes wrong with your mysql tables.

I just opened the zip file and inside I found htdocs (Which has all my files in it) and three sql files (with my forum, blog, and store) so I guess everything saved fine.

I have one more question:

I am going to be messing with my forum files so I can add something onto it so if I mess up the file and it messes up my forum do I delete the whole forum directory and then go to the back-up and go to the htdocs file so I can re-upload the forum directory and all the files in it and then I import the forum database?

Sorry for all the questions but I just want to be 100% sure on how to use the back-up since I may need to use it soon.

Yes,

To restore you would delete and then reupload your entire /forum/ directory (or whatever you have named it)

then drop all of your sql tables, (or delete the database and create a new one), and import your saved sql files

I'm glad I did buy the back-up feature because I did try and edit something on my forum and it made my forum crash but I used the back-up and my forum is pretty much back to normal.

The thing that that isn't really working right now isn't all that important though but I should be able to get it fixed hopefully.

You don't really have to delete everything, just drop the messed up area and import those specific areas.
