Brazil & China is now allowed to signup to box17, and all future boxes.

*Although future blockage is also
probable, should either country's abuse
overwhelm worthiness of their white-list
continuation.

Why were they blocked in the first place?

Brazil:

Brazil country is blocked.

Apparently 99% of our abuse came from Brazil due to it's Orkut popularity. Hence too many Orkut phishings and scrappers - which servers don't like.

Sorry.

China - I don't know, I thought that China government blocks access to 110mb, not vice versa...

@Piotr: the Chinese firewall blocks many 110mb servers, but not all of them; case in point: this forum is accessible in China, and inportb.com just got a couple of hits from Beijing.

China has a lot of fraud, lots of spam doorway pages are created through Chinese ip addresses. It sucks but probably not a good idea to allow them to create pages, let them view and access sites on 110mb but I bet fraud / spam is going to go up.

Yea we're monitoring. Brazil/China were blocked in first place since 99.999999% of abuse comes from them. Nothing against the countries though.
