i have a big problem, please :

In the Account Settings Control Panel I added my own domain   fermiphysics.info

Enter your extra/own domain here:   
Domain must first be registered ofcourse. Any TLD will work. Eg: mydomain.com, mydomain.co.uk, etc...

Then update domains DNS records to: NS1.110MB.COM & NS2.110MB.COM.

Upon entering the requested information I get the following response:
This domain is already in use.

Note, this domain once pointed at a site I recently deleted from 110mb.com.  I would like to point it to a new site but continue to see a return message This domain is already in use. Is there a way to reset that entry in the database so I can have my Domain point to this new account?

I am on box 9. I have tried many times to add an extra domain, foodcolumns.com
I have waited more than 72 hours , the whois is telling me that the dns for this domain
are your ns1 and ns2 servers and your control panel tells me that foodcolumns.com has been added...
I tried the dig tool and there are no IP address in the record:
 
foodcolumns.com. IN A 

for both ns1 and ns2.

110mb name servers are known to be a little erratic  You are probably better off to use your domain registrar's DNS management tool to point to your site.

bought a domain on third party site .. roadsidecinema.in
got it to point to ns1.110mb.com & ns2.110mb.com
registered the extra domain on 110mb

still it doesn't work.
roadsidecinema.in leads nowhere.

tried digging
it gave no answers

Only ns2.110mb.com and ns4.110mb.com have correct A records for your domain name, so if you want to use 110mb nameservers I recommend you to use these two.

A currently have an account at the following addy:  fermiphysics.110mb.com and I would like to attach a domain name "fermiphysics.info" to the site.

Over a span of several months I left a few message on the "This domain is already in use." thread, but the problem still has not yet been solved.

After running a few pings, I have noticed that the URL "ferm.110mb.com" has the same IP address as "fermiphysics.110mb.com" and it seems to be confusing the issue somehow. Because if you type the IP in 70.38.113.154 the generic Dream Template page appears.

Any help on the matter is muchly appreciated.

I think you misunderstand how virtual hosting works. All the sites on a particular server share the same IP address; in the case of the two sites you mention, this is box 17 whose IP just happens to be 70.38.113.154

If you request a site name, e.g. fermiphysics.110mb.com, you'll be pointed to that site on 70.38.113.154. However, if you request the IP, you'll be directed to whatever site is defined as the default for that IP - and guess what that is?

fermiphysics.info is currently pointing to box 11 according to 110mb's DNS records (from NS1 and NS4) - I guess you just have to wait for an admin to look through your other submission on the 'domain in use'  topic
