Ok here is the story: D3xt3r was his username before the turkish users deleted his account i believe. So if you find a post by him with a capitol "D" it should say guest. Andre then made him a new account d3xt3r lower case "d" and bumped his post count. He is currently moving and does not have internet so all inquiries currently will be answered by me or brad as we are site admins. He still visits these forums but is moving and looking for a job so it is hard for him to post.
As for the admin userbars. RBCFAQS, Brad82, Me(mghq) are site admins so we get them.

It was the turkish hackers. I already responded to your email. We will let him know about your offer once he gets back.

lol, then there's the "D3xt3r VS Hackers" thing on the site XD
Sigh.......... Acturally, do you know of anything that might be compromise my site's security? lol now im worried XD
the only thing up-front i think of is just logging in....
but what do permissions do? I just usurally leave them at deafualt values... 770
from what i understand after i started learning PHP that means that it can be accessed from an external script and changed....
lol i'll post in the tech forum.

mghq, your story is far from correct, I tell you this every time.
The Turk hackers had nothing to do with this. Dex wanted his moderatorship to be revoked, as he was not active, a system admin took it the wrong way, and thought he wanted his account deleted. So one of the admins deleted his account by accident, Dex contacted them, and it was too late, so they had him create another account, and simply jacked up the post value to what it was before his account was terminated.

correct as far as i know... when the hackers deleted his account the admins needed to go back to a "restore point" from a backed up DB for the forum so... his account was never deleted by them technically it was but was recovered by the back up

Not really, it's not that big of a deal. Some people need to learn the story before making posts about it saying that the hackers did it. I remember talking to Dex, he said, "What the hell? My account is gone!"

The real story:
D3xt3r wanted to revoke his moderator status. He contacted us and another admin made a mistake -> he deleted his account instead of removing the moderator rights. Then we reinstated his account and gave him a high postcount. However -> SMF doesn't seem to recognise the old account so there for it shows all old posts as "guests".

the matter with D3xt3r and the turkish hackers was ALSO true. When they hacked our forum they deleted d3xt3rs accounts everytime. However, this was resolved with a simpel DB backup.

Yes, but not really active. He is moving and doesn't have a laptop at the moment. He should be back in a few weeks.

Oh, then it's cool. I heard more rumors about him, like that he left 110mb and this is why he appears as 'guest' and he doesn't appear anymore. I'm glad that it's not true, as Dex is a really valuable Honorable member of the community.
