CPanel has no use here as it's meant for paid hosting. We actually had Cpanel in the beginning, as soon as we had over 50K members the panel was using 75% of the servers resources... It's a bloody resource intensive control panel with many features we don't need here.
Btw, layered panel (the one 110MB uses) is heavily modified and isn't much less then Cpanel.

Plus they would lose all the user accounts. cPanel as Diemux said is resource intensive and slow. 110MBPanel fits the needs of 110MB especially since they overhauled it for 110MB's needs

With the custom cPanel their using now, they can tie in free account registrations, until the forum. We do not have to log in twice. Saves SQL database room and resources, and is quite fast.

What the cPanel 110mb use now? Cause that is not 'the' cPanel. Rather its a modified Layered Panel.

I like it other than the fact that no matter how many times you check the 'remember me' box it doesn't >.>

The 110mb Layered Panel is about 50 times faster, and much more efficient than cPanel. 110mb's Panel is much simpler as well.

The Dreaded cpanel days, this friend of mine picked up a website for a steal he said. Week or so went by i asked what became of this new site, i asked. Longstory short, he said: The cpanel was like walking thru a tunnel of virus's. went on to say everytime he tried to log in his scanner would pop up a virus warning. so he would send the bug to the vault and sure enough here comes the next one. Told me it was a tunnel of bugs. ( www.yourdomain.com/cpanel) <<<< infested LOL

Perhaps so, either way i really like what we have here at 110mb.com
Cpanel is just one more directory in somebodys root, which a site ownner has to worry about someone getting into.
