Hi there guys, After some negotiation with a few domain registrars, I've aquired the domain, www.SL.tc . The reason that this domain is so useful and valuable is that SL and TC can stand for many many things and have numerous uses. Also, a company like co.cc, lx.ca or uni.cc, can also use this to make free domain deals. Lastly, it can be personally used as your own free domain generator through subdomains. Example, GameCentre.sl.tc Auctions.sl.tc CounterStrike.sl.tc. I'm not really intending to sell this domain quite yet, but I would like to ask you guys for some advice and tips on this domain. Any other possible uses? How much do you think the price of this domain would fetch. Thank you for your help! The SL.TC Network  PS: I'm also available to immediate offers for this domain  ! |

What exactly can it stand for? Second Life, San Leandro, Sierra Leone, Salt Lake, technetium, Turks and Carcos Islands, Twin Cities, The Republic of Turkey, Teachers College, take care? Nothing that is actually SL.TC.
I don't think it would sell for anything.

How about Software Library Communications Centre. I would personally use it for my Gaming Community. "S L the True Clan". And even if you won't use it for acronyms, you can always use it for subdomain purposes. You can't ask what co.cc or uni.cc stands for can you? Lastly, won't it be awesome to have a really short email/MSN address? e.g. bob@sl.tc instead of christopherthecoolguy923[ @ ] hotmail.com Well thanks for your opinion anyway. This domain did cost quite a lot, so I hope some positive feedback would be given too ! |

Hm... 2-letter domains are pretty good, but it's not a .com. Judging by the domain name alone, I'd say a medium $XX to low $XXX.
Now, if you developed that domain name and built a site around it, it would be worth substantially more due to traffic and purpose.

tc is from Turks and Caicos Islands, it's kinda obscure so it's not worth as much as say an .com, or even .info. But I'd say it's in the medium $xxx to the low $xxxx

Well, that's because you can no longer register .com domains shorter than 3 letters. There's no such restriction on .tc domains, so those are worth substantially less.

There are whole groups of people that like to harass domain squatters by contacting them and bidding on their domains offering to pay large sums of cash all in the name of raising their hopes up and harassing them afterwards about it. To be honest I hate domain squatting, so I say fair game, almost makes me want to offer the guy 5, 000 000 lol plus a $2, 000 000 signing bonus. |

The "Extremely Valueable" addition to your topic is decieving. I have seen 2 letter .TC domains go for less than $10...
So, warning to those. Its not that valueable. And InportB, had the correct idea. In the $XX range.
But, also, any domain is worth more to a person who wants it.. D3xt3r.net is worth maybe pennies to some here, but to somebody, with the nickname D3xt3r, it could be worth thousands.
