So... who's got one? They became available at midnight ET, though I just got the scoop. If you have a Facebook account, you could now register a SE-friendly URL a la Twitter et al at http://www.facebook.com/username/

yepyep, not that I really need that but I read that blogpost too
easier to give your "FB url" to people/friends
just one bad thing that it's fixed forever, I wonder what's going to happen when the millions of fake profiles sign up with "popular names"

It's kind of ridiculous they say "in the future". Or you make it work before you release it or you never implement it, especially for a site like Facebook.

I was able to get my last name so I was pretty happy.  I tried getting facebook.com/brian right at midnight but it was already snatched.
