Are there plans to enable users to upload / create .htaccess and .htpasswd files? I know .htpasswd will have to be outside the "web accessible folder" but users dont have access to that.
htpasswd doesnt have to be outside the www dir, all tho it's the best. but here is what andre wrote about htaccess files.

So I guess that means you can no longer password protect directories then. Balls.

Why not ? just contact support to have the information added to your htaccess file.
And place your .htpasswd file in your root or another folder.

.jpe added. Gotta wait a few hours for change to propegate.

.htaccess not allowed. Have to contact 110mb.com/support, tell them what you want added to the htaccess file and will be done.

Oh ok... Will be contacting support shortly. Say I wanted to password protect two directories with different usernames and passwords, would they put an htaccess file in each of the folders for me or would it all go on a single htaccess file somewhere else on the server?

dir | conf | as | lng have all been added.

Ability to upload htpasswd has to be coded. And will be done very soon.

.pl and .cgi is for Perl/CGI

That won't be on by default. Because that would over-rule PHP's ability to limit who get's sendmail/safe mode off/etc...

To get cgi/perl support, proof of Id is needed.

How would we submit proof of id and what would be inclduded in the requirements.
