Flatpress is an open source multi-lingual extensible blog engine that uses flat-files instead of a database. This new blog provides instructions and tips on setting up a blog site using Flatpress.

Please give it a look and let me know what you think?

Thanks

not bad I like, but it's not very SEO optomized. Since it's flat file, I could probably tinker with it a bit to get it better optomized by default - no need for htaccess.

Currently I create a new sitemap.xml file after publishing a new post. Then I ping a variety of seach engine notifying them my site has been updated.

What would do you suggest to make it more Search Engine Optimize?

You mentioned making it faster. Currently it is on BOX 13 which has been having issues for the last few weeks. What would you suggest to make it run faster?

The flatpress publisher has a new alpha release. I was waiting for it to be released as a stable version before upgrading my site to use this latest release.

Thanks for your feed back.

I had that some days ago but I fund a better one with SQLite. But it was really good to be so light but it still has a bit to go when its a alpha stage but it has potential  cool More plugins and I´m maybe back to it  grin

Is your version of flatpress the one-click installer one?
I was trying to add the 'widgets' without seeing any documentation but no luck cheesy Good that you made this site so I can add more elements to my flatpress blog later.
If you are free you are welcomed to visit my blog too.

On this site I used 110MB one-click installer to setup the initial site.

I have been working on a post explaining how to add adsense ads to the bottom of each post. It involves editting the theme. So it is a bit more complicated than the other changes I have made to it.

its great, but one sudjestion, if you cange "links" to "navigation" it would make a whole lot more sense, i used flatpress once, all you need to do is fiddle about in the statics page

Editing the theme is what I was thinking too, but I was too lazy and got not much time for it.
As flatpress is in beta phase and I tried to get the static page on top didnt work, so I thought nothing really work until your site shown up. So thanks again for making it.=)
Looking forward for the adsense setup post.

I have completed updating my blogsite to latest release of FlatPress v.804. Most of the enhancements help the blog owner. However, I did notice the site seems to run quicker afterwards. It just might mean the host server box 13 is running better.

Let me know if you find any bugs. After a week I have not uncovered any noticable issues.
