10 connections per person? Then on Boxes 5, 10, and 11 only 5 people could use FTP at one time (limited to 50 users). On the other boxes only 7.5 people could use it at one time (limited to 75 users).
Wouldn't that cause more complaining because more people won't be able to connect via FTP?

People would be able to upload faster, I've never had a problem at all with too many people uploading at once. Never.

You've never had a problem with to many people uploading at once because you are limited to 1 connection. Right now there are 17 connections to Box 11's FTP. If you gave each of them 10 connections, then 12 of them would be out of luck because the first 5 would fill up the 50 available slots. Then people would be complaining that they can't connect to FTP. Sorry, but I don't think this is a good suggestion. |

besides if people can't connect right away they can try later,
People would upload faster and stuff, and download,

They've had the limit of 1 connection for at least as long as I've been here, my first account was on box 14. People were complaining about it and some said that they'd pay for more connections. Then when box 17 came out and you had to pay for FTP (I believe that the paid FTP allows upto 5 connections) a lot of the same people who said that they'd pay for more ftp connections complained again. |

i never had an issue before, then once this ad thing started, issues came up big time,
once again Box 9 is really unstable (my box)
i used to ALWAYS do 10 files at a time without issues,
but not anymore
I am really wondering why all the servers are getting all issued,

Maybe there is a problem with the latest FileZilla release and limiting the connections to 1. Because, to be honest, I've never had a problem with just the 1 connection. I just navigate to the directory I want and highlight the files I want to upload and let it chug away. Is it slower then other FTP systems? Not really because most other FTP systems allow 500 connections at a time which puts more load on the server (thus slower).

You can always pay for FTP and get IIRC 5 concurrent connections. |
