Is there any way to control what ads show up? Not like image-text ads, I already have only image, but do I get GOOD ads? The only ads I get are some Swoopoo and virgin mobile, adventure quest, click/flirt, lose 53 lb.s ads, and they really are not working. I've had 1,200 impressions, but have a CTR of only 0.53%, where-as i have read the average is around 4.0%. I want the type of ads that make you want to click on them such as 'shoot 5 ducks' 'run faster than that guy' shoot five baseballs and get a free laptop!' etc.etc. How could I improve my Google Adsense CTR, or get better/more relevant adds??

Thank You!

Good website content with high paying keywords should get you better ads on your site. But sometimes Google does make mistake showing undesirable ads which you can block here : https://www.google.com/adsense/publisher-whitelist-view (you need to be logged in in your adsense account).

Other ways to improve CTR is by placing ads unit which will get you more clicks. I suggest you to use 728x90 banner on very top of website (above header or just below it) and 160x600 on the right side (not on left) because right side ads tend to get more clicks.

Try to using text ads unit with color scheme that blend with your website text.

Hope this helps  smiley
