I just opened my 110mb account and have added my website purchased elsewhere.  It's telling me I need to change my domain DNS records?  Is that something I need to do on 110mb or where I bought my website? Sorry but it doens't say how to change it just to change it and I have no clue about any of this at this point!  Thanks!

In 110mb Control Panel under "Account profile" you have to add your "Extra domain" (without www in front).

At your domain registrar (this place where you bought your domain) you have to change your DNS settings.
You can do one of 2 options:

- change your nameservers to the "ns1.110mb.com" and "ns2.110mb.com" and wait up to 72 hours (usually 24-48) until changes propagate all around the world;

OR

- keep your registrars default nameservers and create two "A" records - one for "yourdomain.tld" and one for "www.yourdomain.tld" - pointed to the correct 110mb IP*.

With second option changes should be faster and you'll keep the possibility to manage your other DNS setting (creating subdomains for your domain, mails at your domain etc.)

And of course you have to delete default index.html file on your 110mb account and create or upload all your files, but I guess you know that. Wink

* ping your 110mb subdomain or check the IP on this list: http://www.110mb.com/forum/empty-t24171.0.html;msg190675#msg190675
If your 110mb subdomain is akwildone.110mb.com then your IP is 66.197.252.182

You replied to my plea for help about changing my dns. I follow the changing A records but how do I ping or find the IP on the list?  Sorry I'm brand new to all of this! Thanks

If your 110mb subdomain is akwildone.110mb.com then your account is on the newest server/box14 and the IP for "A" records is 66.197.252.182 and you don't need to read more.

If your 110mb subdomain is different then login to your 110mb Control Panel, in the left column (or in the url) find on which "box/server" is your account. If - let's say - "box 14" then on this list: http://www.110mb.com/forum/empty-t24171.0.html;msg190675#msg190675 find the IP for the accounts on this box.
Alternatively you can also use "DOMAIN DOCTOR".

About pinging: I don't know how it is on Linux systems, but on Windows in the start menu in command line type "command", then inside of DOS window type "ping yourdomain.110mb.com" and you'll get the IP.

And please - on the forum you'll get better help from many peoples - there is no need to send mails in such cases. Thank you. Smiley
