Hi... Ive built a site for a friend - http://www.wed-dinetouches.com/ and would like google and yahoo to crawl it... ive added metatag info and have hosted the site on my 110mb account before uploading to its true domain (above) within 6 days google crawled the site on my 110mb URL so I submitted a removal and put the site up on its proper domain thing is the domain has been active for 4 months and google havent indexed it yet - ive had URL submitted for while AND sitemap (only the index page) but they still havent indexed it? - how long does it usually take? any advice about further site submission to other engines and business directorys is most welcome , the site is for a wedding planner thanks

usually with google you can set a preffered domain, so adding your own domain to google so to speak

dear snadge i have read your problem and suggest that do directory submission in paid or non paid and url's submission in Google. you can index you site in search engines as that pages is mostly crawled by crawler and whose page bounce rate is less. do more SEO of that pages whose keywords are mostly searched, get more back links.. Regards

The only way to get into Google's search is to get incoming links to your home page from other sites. When the Googlebot visits those it will find & follow the links to your home page.
Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) tells Google you have pages but does not guarantee inclusion in their SERP (Search Engine Result Pages).
I am wary of a lot of tools as Google keeps changing things that can cause these 3rd party tools to not work properly.
If you really do feel your site has been banned then you can submit a reinclusion request in GWT.
But if your site is new (less than 2 months old) it is more likely that your site has not been found by the Googlebot. Depending upon the number of links to your site it can take weeks or months depending on the number of them. The less there are the longer it is likely to take Googlebot to find one.
If there are no links.....

Your site haven't any rich-content to Google bots crawl, so your site can't indexed by Google bots.

If you want to see how your site looks to the Googlebot use a Lynx browser. I use this online one -> http://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/lynx/lynx_viewer.phpAs the Googlebots only read text & not images it can be a shock to see how little of your site is bot friendly. Looking at your site the home page has lots of good content. But the Javascript navigation is not going to be followed. I recommend to use a <noscript> tag with plain old HTML links in it. Therefore, if a browser or bot is not reading Javascript it can still access the other pages in the site.

just register your site in webmaster tools of google and you will get registered
What do you mean by "registered"? If you mean added to the Google SERP (Search Engine Result Pages) you are wrong. Even if you have a sitemap in GWT (Google Webmaster Tools) your site's pages will not be considered for adding to the SERP until a link is found to them. If they fail Google's quality guidelines they will not be added.

At present it does not work. In my experience of working with others trying to get their sites into the Google index you can "add your site to Google" until you are blue in the face. But you will not get added until a Googlebot finds at least one link to your site.

post the link here - it'll be indexed shortly, it can take up to 2 weeks for a site to get into the index once posted on a well known site (that's including places like digg), Google's getting more strict on ensuring spam isn't so easily indexed. So it takes slightly longer recently, but if in 2 weeks your sites not in the index - add it to google, and get others to link to you. If you have another site in the index - myspace, whatever, put a link to the site in it.
