understood, but I have seen news sites on certin hosting companies that get tons of hits within about a week!
I dont know what more to add to my site to get people to join!
Heres what I have so far (some is hosted elsewhere but most on 110mb)
*Arcade Games
*URL Redirection
*Live Weather
*Live Cartoonnetwork
*Media page with youtube like site including (video, photos, and groups)
*Forum - sadly only 2 users there
*PodCast
*Web Search Engine - I will make free engine for those who ask
*Wiki
*Downloads
*Gaming Clan
*Chat
*And more
+I'm adding a free email service A.S.A.P! Come on what else can I do? I need some advertisement bad. (this site has been up for over a year, Just recently is hosted on 110mb)

if you email alot, put your website in your sig there....
wherever you live, put up flyers about your site around there...
try to pick a type of site for your site to be rather than have sooo much stuff...
-like make it a site for games, then also have links on your site to proxy scripts you have HOSTED SOMEWHERE OTHER -THAN 110MB. that way people in school who want to play games can play games on your site, and when it gets -banned...they have a proxy to use that you made as well.

Suprisingly its not blocked! (yet) A good plus is the .net.tc domain which cloaks it just enough for a school admin to mis it block the .net.tc and 2 min later i'll have a new free address that everyone can access!  EDIT I do have the site in my sig |

Who the -- told you it was easy to accomplish and you were going to get it overnight? It takes a lot of time and hard work, and, if you are a good blogger/webdesigner, you can get your first hits in the very first week. I know a very famous blogger (among bloggers community) that his blog took more than a year to get some hard hits, and now he is read by more than 3,000 people/day. Yes, day, I said.

Like I said the site is about a year old (if someone were to follow it back to before it became HaroldSearchNetworks, back when it was HaroldSearch And even farther than that It's been around for four years)
And nobody told me it was easy.
I understand what you mean about topic. But my original idea for the site was to be a web portal, a site that offers many services, One that anyone who comes to it will find somthing there that they like or can use.

If you want people to find your site, you need to become a postwhore at every forum you know.  Put a link in your signature, even an image. Advertise, advertise and advertise! |

i dontmind doing link exchnage with your site, my site is becoming increasingly popular (woooooooo :D:D:D Thankyo site visitors ) gets arround 30+ unqiues a day, and on average 7 returning visitors, that number is slowly rising, and may bring you trffic to your site too.... just PM me with details for your site, such as the url and a description, and ill add it to my Affiliates page, and then you ad TweakXP - The #1 Tweaking site on the net, or somthing like that as a link back to my site |

you need to have linkpartners.
search with google linkpartners.
you place there link on your site and they put your link on there site.
so if google search the net and see your link much on other sites the higher is your ranking in google.
and in that way works every search engine.
