Yes, then the power company gets sued if you touch one of there above ground wires.  lol i dont thing so i think the ones leading to the ground are just support  they arnt live as the ones here in canada you can touch with out dieing :S so i doubt it it is only if the pole falls or one of the wires touch the car... but in a case like this never touch anything metal connecting to the car just in case and turn off the engine as you never know

The main problem of putting the wires underground is to put then where??
When you put them under the roads the road needs to be closed when they are going to work at it. When you put them under the houses they can't be repaired at all.
And the cables could break during earthquakes or somthing like those disasters

Yeah, it costs more to dig up to. Yes, then the power company gets sued if you touch one of there above ground wires. There will never be live wires like that from any goverment telephone/electric cables. (unless you live in mars, OBV).

Around where I used to live before I moved had exposed wires, many died simply by brushing them when running.

Most of them are probably some image manipulation, either that or some stunts, though there is a simple law, if its even remotely possible someone's done it..... simple law, throw a coin enough times and sooner or later it'll land on it's edge. so however remote, however slim the chances someone somewhere has done it, since considering there are 6,748,643,803 right now constantly rolling those dice
