Again, i'll skip the introduction and go directly to the the tip..

1. Download the software here

2. Install the software and run it.

3. you should see this at top of the program.
Insert information as below
Quote
Address:your110mbAddress
e.g darkraito.110mb.com
User:youracountName
e.g darkraito
Password:yourPassword
e.g xxxxxx (i wont give mine to you :p)
Port:21
Then, click Quick Connect.

4. If you succeed to connect then you should see this image (Click link to view, the image is too large)

5. To CHMOD a file simply right-click a file on remote folder, and click File Attributes

6. Here you either click these buttons or simply type in the CHMOD number values in the Numeric Value box.

7. thats it.. and now, you learned how to CHMOD using FileZilla

note: at peak hours the chances for you to connect to the server is lower.. there are only 50 FTP slots available
note2: i'll might add more later..

TIP : How to get connected easier ..
simple. Open Edit > Transfer and adjust as follows

Thanks DarkRaito!

I'm purely a WindowsTM user and although I understand the logic of CHMOD I never though I would see the numeric value of CHMOD in Windows shocked!

The only problem I have with this is that after the first time I used it, it wouldn't accept the password. Any solutions?

The no of users are full as I suppose. And moreover, did you provide the correct login credentials. Check out twice to make it sure.

Your username is :

address: games4u.110mb.com
username: games4u
password: your ftp password ie your control panel password
port: 21 which is the default one.

And check out in your control panel the exact configuration if it is correct.

If not try it after sometime it must be fine. It might be due to excessive ftp traffic I suppose.

because you have to be active and do something so your session will stay open upload download or look through folders for it not to
as buffy said, you need to be doing something to stay connected.
e.g
upload files, backup (download) files, chmod the settings, browsing your folders..
the active time limit was set because there is only 50 slots for each boxes. Setting a time limit would make sure others got the chance to access their FTP as well. Now, dont ask for more slots even if i ask you to be good and share the FTP slots. Why? Because
    • More FTP slots = more file transfer.
More file transfer = slower transfer speed.
Slower transfer speed = increased chance of time-out during transfer.

anyway, i ask you to read this thread, and not continue the discussion here.
