WOW!!!! Thanks dude!!!

I've done the change with the DNS records and I've right now:

Nameservers
Nameservers:  (Last Update 8/10/2009)
NS31.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS32.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

and...

Total DNS:  (Available)
ARecord    @    66.197.252.182
ARecord    luviccr.com    66.197.252.182
ARecord    www.luviccr.com    66.197.252.182
CNAME    www    @

but in my Control Panel I can't find the wrong A Record that you said (68.178.232.100)
please take a look at the image:

Well, that IP address is that of Go Daddy's "parked domain" page.  If your site still isn't working in a couple of days, try contacting Go Daddy support.

Hi rvtraveller

I was thinking about my ARecords, is it possible to you to check them?
they are:

Total DNS:  (Available)
ARecord    @    66.197.252.182
ARecord    luviccr.com    66.197.252.182
ARecord    www.luviccr.com    66.197.252.182
CNAME    www    @

Best regards

Victor  (again  embarassed )

The only ones I use on my GoDaddy account are the first one (@) and the last one (CNAME).  I don't see where the other 2 would hurt anything but they all should be ok.

I have a domain that is pointed to a 110mb account using the method described in this topic.  I have now purchased paid hosting and want to switch that domain over there.  If I just change the Nameservers to the ones for my new host, will that work?  Or will I have to reset some of these Total DNS settings as well?  Do I have to take my domain off of the domain list on my 110mb account?  Just don't want to be messing around with this and get extended downtime before I know what I'm doing...

Presuming your domain is listed in the new name servers, then no downtime should occur.  Just switch them from the domaincontrol ones to those of your new hosting.

Ok, I changed the nameservers... right now the domain is still going to the 110mb account.  I assume this might just be a time issue, I'll give it some time and see what happens, because if I've changed the nameservers it can't still go to the 110mb account.

hi again rvtraveller

When I had made the domain transfer to Godaddy, Have I do something else in my 110mb control panel? I've already luviccr.com at " Add Your Own Domain: " section for over 2 years registered on that section.

best regards,

Victor

Nope.  As far as 110mb is concerned, nothing has changed.

Well, I did it, with no problems. Remain to wait 24 to 48 hours.
Hopefully will work.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial. I hope it'll do what I expected! rolleyes

I followed this tutorial, I adjusted everything to match it, I've read through all of the replies, yet I still cannot get my domain to work.

I've tried time and time again, and time and time again, it doesn't work.

I purchased the domain laspumas2197.org from GoDaddy.

Does anyone know of any issues that haven't really been brought up here that I could be facing?

When I visit the site laspumas2197.org I get the default 110mb Account Created page.  You just need to upload your site now and delete the default index.htm that was provided for you.

Try a hard refresh of the page with Ctrl-F5
