That has been explained many times in the previous topics... Read them first before you continue asking.

Impatient and wanna promote it right now?

Well here's a quick tip on how to use MySpace.com to promote it.

MySpace has a mega busy community discussion forum on just about every imaginable subject.

What you'll do is signup, and go to your category that your site relates to.

Then start replying and posting legit info about that subject and on end of every post, include something like this:

========================
Tons of great tips on X:  (X being your site subject)
=> http://mysite.110mb.com

REMEMBER: People in todays online age are like most sophisticated radars. Post 1 post with intention of solely getting traffic to it, and they'll call you a spammer. So be legit in your posting. At least have it be useful info that you either got from your head or from online (but changed in your own words).

NOTE: ALL PM'S WILL BE IGNORED. UNLESS I ASKED YOU TO PRIVATE MESSAGE ME.

-- Use the "Search" on top-right before posting.
-- If your topic is resolved, put [Resolved] at end of subject.

And one more tip, place your links on sites which content is related to your.

Just make link exchange, when you are on begining you have nothing (pagerank) to lose.

Anything you produce personally, add the url of a bibliography part your site to it. It doesn't have to be accessible from the main part of your site, just link to your main page from it (so say, yourdomain/secret_personal_url123 leads to the page, not referred to anywhere else, but the page links back to the homepage). As long as you maintain that bibliography section with contact info, it's probable that people who know you or want to know how to reach you will visit.

Also this way, you get to see in your stats how many people are visiting the homepage from that page.

Other suggestions - well of course make sure there is actually something desirable there. I've seen others do it, and way back when tried myself, to promote a site with almost no useful content, or no user interaction. It just doesn't work, people won't be forced to visit.

Have a good, professional design, or if like me, you suck at design, use a clean layout, no gimmicks, just keep everything readable and orderly, that's just as good and as likely to give the discerning user that "good" feeling about a page* as a really knock-out pro design IMO.

* As in, this isn't run by a dolt, it's not trying to deceive me, and I should take it seriously
