But I'm not sure how to go about creating it.  I'd like to see it work, but I have literally no experience in PHP and MySQL.  My school district allows you 13 unexcused absences before you have to "appeal" (if you get sick and go over, you must have documentation from your doctor) for credit.  If your appeal fails, you loose your credit for the class you appealed for.  Anyway... I usually make a table in Word to track this.  (Examples:  Word 2003: http://ekhosofsylence.com/alog.doc  Word 2007: http://ekhosofsylence.com/alog.docx).  I was thinking it would be cool to do this with a PHP form and MySQL database.  But I'm completely useless when it come to that.  I was wondering if anybody would like to help me out with this.  I know there are a few people here that are excellent with this like Aldo and inportB, but anybody's help is well appreciated.  If you think you could be of any assistance, please drop me a line.  smiley

Thanks for the response.  I was sort of hoping for the SQL table to be structured like I have the Word table.  Then a form that you would fill in the details (like the cells in the Word table) and then have them stored to the DB.

Ah... I've added some explanations in both (Word 2003, and 2007) files in the first post.  I would post them here, but they are easier to understand while visually viewing the table.  Something I can explain here is what a block is.  My school using block scheduling, opposed to regular (1st period, 2nd period, etc).  Each block is 1.5 hours, there are 4 a day.  Since they are 1.5 hours, one class (1 credit) fits into one semester.  Most people's schedules are 100% different each semester.  There are a few courses offered all year (both semesters) like band and choir.  I'm in band, so my third block never changes.  Confusing, I know, but it's a lot easier once your accustomed to it.

You are allowed to get to 13, just cannot exceed it.  To save yourself trouble, forget the doubling thing.  Lets just go with 13.  That makes it easier.

That sounds awesome.  You don't have to worry about design, I can probably do that myself, less work for you.  Would there be anyway that users could possibly delete entries as well?  If not, it's okay.  I don't need it by any certain date, I was just wanting to see if this was possible.  Thank you so much!  grin
