And also if you could click the ad     which is also what I need help with so anything you could tell me that would make my site better

Yes buying a domain will definately get you boost in number of members (I have a personal experiance to this) and will also increase ppc value of your ads. However i don't agree with the idea of asking members to click on ads, as its against TOS and also gives a bad image to the site.

I really think a domain name for your site will be well worth the cost. You have a beautiful site, and the one thing that could make it look more professional is a domain name. They only cost about $9, but many people do not take sites that do not have a top-level domain seriously.

my friend had the same problem. So I took a look at his site and found that he has not submitted it to any search engines or anything of the sort. His site has been sitting there for few months without anyone knowing it. Spreading the word about Your site is the key.

This is the first time I have read this parts of the forums... grin grin

Might be a couple of days late...but that "click here" is old hat...Try changing it to something more like "Register Now" or "Join Up Now". Try not to use all caps as in LIKE THIS. It is much better To Simply Start Each Word With a Cap...but leave the joining words like "a" and "the" as lower case.

Hope that is of help.

i know of a site that gives you free domains [well, subdomains actually] the site is http://www.co.nr, and your domain would be yoursite.co.nr, which when visited, will redirect the page to whatever your site is. for an example, my site on 110mb is http://www.ballet-elegance.110mb.com but when you go to http://www.total-elegance.co.nr which is my domian, it shows the 110mb site, but the address bar still says the co.nr site. i deff. recomend co.nr, because all you have to do is link to them on your homepage! it is 100% free, ad free, and you can link it to any site you want, and you can change whatever site it links to.

Very good advice. In the beginning you'll need to work hard to get the word out there about your site. Join forums, let people know that such site even exists.. and when you have content then it is worthwhile adding it to the Search Engines (unless they spotted you already Smiley )

Also, finding similar forums, directories etc plus doing link exchanges with sites that have visitors who would be interested in your site...

Little by little your member numbers grow. And if your site has valuable (good) content then the existing members will surely spread the word.

I signed up, but sadly I typed my password wrong both times X_X;
Good site, and the amount of content there is is cool.  I didn't even know people uploaded full movies to downloading sites.  I thought it was all torrents o.O;
