hi
how do i upload images from my computer into my website
i have tried everything, but so far i have drawn a blank
it keeps asking for the url of the image

You upload images the way you upload any file. Either use the file manager or, if you have it activated, FTP.
if you use the File Manager, login, choose File manager, select the folder where you want the upload and then click upload files. Click browse and select the image from the file dialog.
If you use FTP, log on, choose the folder where you want to upload, in the left window, select the folder on your computer with the image files and drag them to the right window

once i have them in file manager, how do i get them onto the site pages?

If you look at the list in the file manager, the top items consist of folders. Click on the one you want to hold the uploaded files and the files already in that folder should be listed. If you then click on upload files, they will be uploaded into your selected folder. Remember, when you go to display the uploaded images, if they are not in the main folder, you will have to use the path to the folders where they actually are loaded.
