What programs did you use to make this photo editor?
I think it's just GD and jQuery (maybe jQuery UI too). I think he probably used Geany as the editor (which i'm using now for the ajax animator, before that kate and gedit and notepad2 and notepad++).

Yes, I use PHP/GD for backend and jQuery for interface. I'm phasing out jQuery UI in favor of a custom-brewed solution, since I don't use that much of jQui anyway. I'm using Geany to write code on Ubuntu and Windows, and Fx3.5, Arora0.8, Chrome, and IE8 for testing. Some of the code has found its way onto the forums in various ways...
So I fixed the vertical centering and menu icons. Still, I don't know where my click events are going Lips Sealed
Alright, I took care of that annoying click event issue... as it turned out, the menu-hiding procedure was eating up all my live click events =p

Anyhow, here's a comparison of UI's:Now that it works, I really need to work on the sex appeal.

slider bars w/preview for the bright/contrast

This is most likely doable using the thumbnail generator. Hm...

I don't know about contrast, but for client sided brightness preview, you could just place a div with a white background on top of the image and adjust the transparency, then when it is verified, send the request to the server?

Pixastic doesn't work at all on Microsoft-based browsers. Placing a div with a white background on top would work for positive adjustments, but a black div would be necessary for negative adjustments. And then one'd have to synchronize the adjustment with the serverside. It's a bit messy, so I'd just have the server generate the previews Duh

Oh yeah, Android browser is awesome. No CSS3 rounded corners yet, but hey it works =p
