Currently setting up a system to allow you to do that.

Sendmail on, Safe mode off, along with anything else you like (if possible) is added to your account config.

Furthermore, because htaccess files are restricted from member uploads (security concerns), you'll have to contact support and tell them what you want added to your htaccess file since it's outside the members root folder.

I am curious how people will verify them selfs not so much as a question as to what will be used rather how it will be done. Will you verify IDs? That seems like allot of work to do manually and if automated I can only figure by credit cards. Not that I would have a problem with that I just think that most people would feel like it was a paid service.
Anyway I guess I will see when the time is right.

Hmmm... What about the 404 pages? Does the old rule still apply ( can change to fit theme but cannot change the ads...) ? If it can be changed what should I do?

Ya, good questions, I want sendmail/SMTP open too (wonder who doesn't want!!), but for me it's not possible to send my ID (the one passport that I have) by mail, rather I'll prefer to use e-mail or fax. But how Andre can verify that I'm not making him fool or cheating him. Then all the spammers can make fake passport and use that.

However, Andre please don't decline to allow sendmail/SMTP, you know how necessary it is to look professional.

tekcronic,
To verify ID's you go to: www.110mb.com/support
I don't do it. We have a team of people doing various duties.

.::xkiller213::.,
404 Page this time is a server wide config. Although will experiment with code to do same as cPanel has done. IE: create 404 page in every account.

megroups,
This is already offered. 110mb.com/support.

you probably could change the 404 page using .htaccess, just have it point to the 404 page you need it to that way you can have it fit your theme, if this is still allowed

Oh man... I just noticed this:

you'll need to submit:

One scanned document from Category A.
One scanned document from Category B.

How am I supposed to verify myself? I'm only 16... Where to get bills...Huh

I've never had a problem with getting bills - the postman brings them nearly every day smiley

To verify yourself, you must have something like an Identity Card or Driving Licence.

From what andre has said in the past a Proof Of Age Card or Student ID Card will be accepted

EDIT: ah my bad youre probably refering to having problems with Category B
In that case Im not sure

PLEASE NOTE FELLOW MEMBERS:

It seems to me that some feel even encouraged to send ID when it's really not needed.

If you're script can use SMTP to send mail, then you absolutely DO NOT need to spend your prescious time on this whole ID issue.

Eg. As far as I know every forum and CMS (except phpNuke) has a option between sendmail/SMTP.

Ofcourse you should only get into doing this when you discover that your script needs Safe Mode, Sendmail and other risky features like fopen.

It's up to you really. Just making a small point to save your time.

I am unable to provide an item on the Document B list.
What I didn't know was that only php sendmail doesnt work!  I guess it must be exploitable by spammers...  rolleyes
And to think for even a moment that 110mb.com wasnt the best free web host ... how stupid am I! afro

Hmmm... I just saw this:
Quote
Category A:

3. Any other document that contains your picture and your full name.

Category B (all must contain your address & full name):

It seems that what they want is :
1. Your picture
2. Your full name
3. Your address

Most identity cards ( like mine ) has all the above information on it... Does it mean that we can be verified?

What about this: If we cannot provide One scanned document from Category A and One scanned document from Category B, can we provide 2 documents from category A instead?
