So I'm using the cmd prompt, no I don't want to but I have to run something from the command line, and that program is on my external drive E:

So I type:
dir E:
<Dumps contents of drive> which means it sees it

cd E:
E:\

cd E:\
c:\>

What? It doesn't let me change the directory to that drive..

That still doesn't work; but I found a way around it. I just did "E:\path\to\stupid\darn\file\apple.exe" something_in_current_directory.exe

Annoying, but it worked.

That's odd. It should work. Hmm...

Hi, you can't cd to another drive, you have to make it an active drive first.

i.e:

C:\> dir E:\

... it shows it works...

C:\> E:

E:\>

E:\> dir

Should show the contents of the E: drive...

Cheesy works now. That'll be helpful in the future; but already found and used the alternative long annoying way Wink
