Hi again

Some time ago the links to the downloads section on our web page stopped working without any input from us.

As new season is starting I need to resolve this and require help.

In admin I click the downloads directory and then the file and it downloads fine but it does not do this on web page.

I am unsure how I am going to restore the links and would appreciate help.

http://www.northfield-pool.com/downloads.php shows 4 documents clicking on them brings up
http://www.hostvoice.com/formad/process.php?pid=25&category=2

yet as mentioned I never changed anything and it's driving me nuts

appreciate a very simple remedy as I'm a noob

thanks

EDIT: I am getting this from 110MB Domain Doctor but have no idea how to resolve

Your index page is redirecting to another page: http://www.110mb.com/404.php
We could not find anything wrong with our or your settings. Look into the page http://www.110mb.com/404.php for the problem!

I can only see one document link on that page..  Match_sheet_41.doc

You are getting a HTTP404 response on that link because the file  /downloads/download.php  does not exist.

(110MB's 404 is currently dispalying that stupid hostvoice ad.)

Erm, re-upload it from your most recent backup.

Somehow, I think this response will not resolve your problem.

Your guy should have made a backup of the entire site for you.  If he didn't do that then I'm sorry to say it but you are screwed.  The number one cardinal rule is always keep a backup so that if anything goes wrong you can delete all your files then re-install from your backup.

If you don't have a backup then all you can do is redesign the incorrect pages and then upload them though either FTP if you have it enabled or File manager one at a time if you don't.

There is a faster way to re-install if you don't have FTP which is to zip the files and name it something simple like file.zip then as long as it's less than 8MB you can upload that and unzip inside File Manager.

 Hope this helps

A. Understand the logic there no probs but was out of my control

A. Am unsure how to redesign said pages that you mention (ftp not a problem)

A. the files themselves are very small word docs though am still lost

Hope this helps
