Dear Everyone !

I am trying desperately to learn how to set up php admin through xammp and setting a password for user '.root'. for my sql to stop breaches of security. I was able to create a database with password but i have no idea how to subscribe a password to the root .user. I'm also having trouble with my word press installation /I am going to try to re-install and see if that works. I'm trying to be able to set dreamweaver cs3 to work as my my layout program where i can test wordpress locally on my computer . although the tutorials exist on the web they seem to be missing steps assuming that i will magically know the steps .I'm new to this but i decided to swallow my fears and take the plunge.I need your help! please . I was able to install xaammp and the mysql and apache are running . I'm just very confused about securing the mysql and what i need to do to prorperly get dreamweaver to lock on to the local host .If anyone knows please assist.
Thank you!

If you are using a script likle wordpress you will not need dreamweaver unless you are using it to manage the files of the wordpress engine Wink
