... if you specify fmt=22, like so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY&fmt=22 (or if you flip a switch in your preferences).

Not all videos are available in that format, of course. Wouldn't it be great if it automatically fell back to fmt=18?
Anyway... it's time to modify my YouTube downloader evil

### EDIT ###
I think I oughtta take a break from posting...

lol why afraid of Diemux? and that sounds cool but maybe they should really think of improving their encription metods for videos as i uploaded like a 700+ MB vid for my new AMV and it still turned out poop... yet you can download a 86mb version off a site with better quality even at HQ angry

I predict that youtube's 720p videos will be poop quality anyway, even though I haven't seen one yet.
Seriously, you could compress a 10000p video into 100Mb if you wanted (well some codecs might have a limitation for the maximum resolution), but the quality would suck.

Why predict when you could watch? The link is right there ;p
btw...I used a modified YouTube hook to download that stuff, and it ended up being 73.6MB of H.264+M4A. The quality's passable, but it also depends on the decoding agent as H.264 is pretty resource intensive to decode.

It's laggy because Flash is wasting half the CPU cycles. It plays great in VLC, though Duh
