I can make an record for @ if I could figure out what it should be. With the google addresss in place I end up not getting the www working. Maybe 74.125.47.121 will work. If you could just ask a real person at google it would be easy.
BTW you are the person that put up that status page how do you do it? I would like to do something internally along those lines and not reinvent the wheel.

Hey guys! Please help me here. I've registered a Domain name (not a 110mb domain): www.hennie-lambrechts-architects.co.zaI've also got one here at 110mb.com: hennie-lambrechts-architects.110mb.com I've read on the forums that there are 2 ways of pointing my paid for domain name to the 110mb one. One method is changing the DNS's to 110mb's, and the other is setting an A record. What is an A record? How and where do I set it? Here's what the Domain Doctor had to say about my DN: Your domain hennie-lambrechts-architects.110mb.com is located on IP address 600 IN A 66.197.252.182 and is located on .110mb.com. Your entered domain has an appointed IP address 600 IN A 66.197.252.182, but it is NOT pointing to 110mb.com server. Why if it isnt pointing to a 110mb server, is my website still working? Currently my paid for DN ( www.hennie-lambrechts-architects.co.za) is pointing to: 196.35.158.178, should i change this to the server/box14's IP: 66.197.252.182? Thanks in advance Francois EDIT: Nevermind! I asked my DN host to point to box14's IP and to do the A record thing for both the www. and raw domain names, and now it works! Whether they did the A record thing or not, I'm not sure, but typing the the full address including the www. works so I'm happy! Thanks

OK I gave up I don't have what I want, but I have what I have. @ is set to box14's IP address and a CNAME for www set to @. So entering "lordoflightaz.com" or " www.lordoflightaz.com" end up in the same place. I would much prefer lordoflightaz.com to be where it was, which was "start..... Well I did manage to get www to load a bit faster, Not exactly sure what I did though LOL. or maybe 110mb did something.

Like Lesley wrote, that is because 110mb have convoluted method of handling www, and this will not work here in the way you want, sorry. I was try the similar things here already and... no. You need to have without www domain pointed here, in other way this will not work at all. You can only do this inversely - without www here, with www somewhere else, but I guess you don't want that.

my site hasnt been working for a while, i tried this, and it said it couldnt connect either! =[
Your domain grumpymonkey.110mb.com is located on IP address 64.191.15.246 and is located on box15.110mb.com.
Your domain is set up correctly, meaning that it should work. Performing checks to see why it may not (if you're having problems with it):
Your site could not be requested because: Connection timed out (110) The resulting page was retrieved properly, however it was empty. Check your index.htm, index.html, index.php file.

okay, I've set everything up correctly (dns set to ns1.110mb.com and ns2.110mb.com, extra domain added in panel) yet the domain doctor says rizzofamily.co.cc points to the site rizzofamily.co.cc.110mb.com. I could of course register this name, but I'd rather fix this issue. Any ideas?

@brwainer :
The nameservers are pointing rizzofamily.co.cc to IP 66.197.252.182 - which is Box14.
You don't say what the associated 110mb subdomain is, but I'll assume it's rizzofamily.110mb.com - which is on Box15.
So it looks like a nameserver error.
Start a new thread in the forum with [Admin required] nameserver error as the subject, and hope it gets spotted.
Incidentally, domain doctor doesn't handle real-world domain names. It says so on the site.

I got this when I used it. Your domain ctrlaltv.110mb.com is located on IP address 64.191.15.246 and is located on box15.110mb.com. Your domain is set up correctly, meaning that it should work. Performing checks to see why it may not (if you're having problems with it): *** Your site is working and we did retrieve an HTML page, meaning that all is fine server-side. The problem is in the HTML/coding of the site. We will now check some obvious causes: Your index page is redirecting to another page: http://www.110mb.com/500.phpWe could not find anything wrong with our or your settings. Look into the page http://www.110mb.com/500.php for the problem! EDIT: I am also getting this error: Your domain ctrlaltv.110mb.com is located on IP address 64.191.15.246 and is located on box15.110mb.com. Your domain is set up correctly, meaning that it should work. Performing checks to see why it may not (if you're having problems with it): Your site could not be requested because: Connection refused (111) The resulting page was retrieved properly, however it was empty. Check your index.htm, index.html, index.php file. I've tried deleting my index page and reuploading it, but nothing seems to work. Help please!

@ ctrlaltv
1. Do you have .htaccess enabled? If yes - check if you have no any syntax errors in it. If not, skip this point. If you don't know what am I talking about - you have not.
2. Do you have a 500 error only on your index file or on any other file, too? If only on your php pages, but (in example) images you can see without a problem - check if you don't have any errors, infinite loops etc. in your code. If you have 500 error on any file, even on images or simple text files - create a new separate topic with the subject line: "[admin] 500 error", provide your 110mb subdomain name and the information that you have 500 error and wait for admin responce. Additionally check your mail box if you have no any mail from 110mb.

@ knightsofwar210site
Everything works for me. If you JUST change your DNS settings - you have to wait awhile until changes propogate all around the world.
(By the way - be aware of the problem with website builder message "This copy is licensed for another domain" - unfortunatelly you can not use website builder on two domains (own and 110mb sub) at once at the moment - you have to choose one while you creating the website with this builder.)

Oh... that was you who post about this problem as a first person. So you know the problem with website builder.
And your domains are working for me - if not for you - I don't know why.

No. No any answer from admins about this. The only way is to create a website again and put selected domain while creating it. Yes, all the content will be lost.
