But, please see this as a improvement, aka, one step closer to a new 110mb (which has working servers, quicker support and more posts of Diemux).

"On Tuesday there were 2.5 million, on Wednesday 3.5 million and today [Friday], eight million," he told CNN. "It's getting worse, not better." There are very few reports of independent home computers affected. Okay everyone! Check your machines for this update: a patch from Microsoft known as MS08-067

Kind of sad how people make viruses. They really need to realize how much pain, anger, and frustration viruses cause in the world. You guys can go here to update.

That is exactly why they do it Not any more when the first computer virus was crated in the 70's and the first virus for PC was made in Pakistan 1986 was more made for fun or as jokes, today its made for money and crime. And the viruses are very sophisticated with Stealth and what not. I think that this worm is more in to corporate users then home users. And I had fun yesterday and went to surf without av or other updates since those in 2005 and a few critical and Ie 6 but seems like I made it

someone mentioned "why", some do it for fun, some do it (especially) because its MS + Windows, some don't know how to do anything else The flip side, MS in particular, are supporting many THOUSANDS of jobs and companies because of these attacks Where would the IT security industry and Anti-virus companies be without them, it has been know in the past that some AV companies pay programmers to create viruses, simply because its not economically viable to produce a "kills any virus/trojan/etc dead" type program.. It is also a sign of "popularity" in a weird way: I read something about by a programmer who said "when I found out they were pirating my apps, I was impressed that my apps were worthy of there consideration" and beside, what would grown up hackers with families do, if they could not work in IT Security, and become "defenders against this type of scum" Paul

That's a nice way of seeing things, but it does lose you some potential buyers.
