Ok, so on Friday I went out late with my family. A couple of my cousins were there, ect.
So, we were walking about town, and I come across a store that sold games. So naturally I told everyone I will meet up with them later, and entered the store. I looked around a bit, then saw Battlefield 2 on sale for $10.00 brand new. I know it's a sorta old game, but I raised an eyebrow. So I pick up a copy, and it looked as if it had nearly the same specs needed to run as Battlefield 1942 did. So I walk up to the counter, and pay for the game. Later on when I got home, I tore open the package and popped the disk into the tray. Right away the game came up with the menu asking me to install, ect. I chose to install. So then it asks me for a serial. Of course I look on my case, and find a serial. I enter that exact serial, and it says it's invalid. So naturally I thought that I entered it wrong. I entered it again. Same thing. I tried re-running the installation, same thing. Finally, I open up a keygen I had from a while ago with 175 EA games keygens, I pick BF 2, and generate a key. I put that key in, it works. After that, I go to run the game. It flashes a black screen, then back to my desktop. At this point I'm getting SICK of these issues. I un-install, then reinstall, only this time I used the registry fix that EA tells you to use (go to the registry and enter your right key) which I did. I ran the game, black screen, then back to desktop. So at this point it's about 2:00 in the morning. So I called EA, and they said they don't know what is wrong. I hung up. The next day I go back to the store, and said, "This game doesn't work." the man who was the same one who sold me it, said, "Well, we can't give you a refund." I said, "Why not?" and then he said, "Because you could have copied the files to your hard drive and just wanted to get your cash back. I then proceeded to tell him, "The serial doesn't even work." he said, "Sorry, nothing I can do. Did you call the company?" I said, "Yes, I did, and they couldn't do anything about it either, and recommended me come to get an exchange." He said, "Well, no can do, next time don't buy a game that doesn't work." At this point I am really getting pissed and said, "Well, smart guy, how the hell am I supposed to know it doesn't work WITHOUT OPENING THE PACKAGE?" He said, "If your going to get rude, then you need to leave." And then I said, "I want to speak with your manager." He said, "I am the manager." Then I said, "Well, perhaps the owner of the store should reconsider what arrogant people they put behind the counter." And he said, "Ok sir, you have to leave." I said, "Ok. Fine." I then threw the game in the trash can in the store and said, "Don't even try to sell it to anyone else."
God I hate people like that. I will stick to playing BF 1942.
