In "Config", there's a "Use WYSIWYG Editor", change to "Yes" to move away from the html display and show font icons etc.

I am a newbie myself, but I have been advised to design my site offline and use FTP to load my design onto the site.  I have been doing this and it works REALLY well.  Maybe you should give that a try.  NVU web page editor is really good (thats what I'm using), but here is a list of free editors that someone gave me: http://www.osalt.com/dreamweaver.  Another tip that I was given is that if you are having trouble with FTP you can still get the HTML code from the website you designed with an editor and then paste it into an htm file, when it's in source mode.

Can you confirm that when you're changing the Config WYSIWYG option, you're saving changes?

This setting is saved in "inc/config.php" as:

define("_WYSIWYG","0");                 (HTML)
define("_WYSIWYG","1");                 (WYSIWYG)

Can you download the file and see what this is set to?

You can also look at this via 110MB File Manager to see what it's set to, however DON'T change the file via 110mb file editor as this will reformat it with HTML which may corrupt it.

Thanks guys! It's back to working again. I'm not sure if I had anything to do with it or not. I set the WYSIWYG to No and saved it. Then I didn't sign on for a day. I then set it back to yes and saved it and didn't sign on for another day, when I did, it was working. HOORAY!!!  grin
