I'm just starting to think what my site should look like. Is there good advice, or some sort of form guide, for how the ad's should look on a site? I mean, should there lots of ads all over, or just a few ads in a corner; what do people find to be the most effective?

Good positions for ads Cheesy
Top left - too many users make a mistake thinking it is a menu and click. -_-
Inside content - Title, ads, content, ....

Also, make ads blend into page design. The ads link so just like normal link.

Statistics say top left's usage is the more than other sides.
If you don't want to do that sprinkle them to articles.
