Hi folks,
I have recently tried to log in to my control panel for my 110mb website and after several attempts gave up and requested my password to be reset. I waited for a while and nothing came so I requested it again and it's been maybe over 30 minutes.

I know I have submitted the right address because I still have the original email confirming my 110mb account as active.

I'm not sure if this is related but I've done a lot of work on my website and wanted to upload and update it on 110mb. On Friday I deleted all my files, uploaded my website in a zip file and tried using the uncompress function.

It didn't seem to work - as in it showed the zip file being there but didn't list any of the unzipped files.

I got cut off the internet and didn't get a chance until today (Sunday) to check back and see if it had uncompressed; of course now I can't back on.

What I am wondering is if my account has been cancelled because the zip file didn't uncompress so I had no content- in particular an index file- which is listed in the terms and conditions as one of the reasons why your account can be suspended/terminated?

Thinking that might be the case I tried to re-register but it says my username is already in use so therefore my account must still active?

Any help, advice would appreciated.

Regards
Damian.

P.S. the website is www.gippslandorchidclub.110mb.com and loading that url gives a 404 page so does that indicate my zip file didn't uncompress and so I have no content on there?

I've just tried to request my password and I'm getting an:

"Oops! You can't be logged in at the moment. Solutions (1) clear your browser cache and cookies, (2) attempt to use FireFox, Internet Explorer or Opera. "

error, are you seeing anything when you request your password? May be worth raising a support ticket if this isn't working.

Think the 404 will be due to the failed unzip, don't quote me but I think it's unlikely your userid will have been deleted.

The server/box14 where gippslandorchidclub.110mb.com is located is currently offline for more than 8 hours. So wait until it will be fully functional with any steps.

As for ZIP - make sure that ZIP archive not contain any forbidden files, make sure that it is not too big (less than 8MB should work, with bigger there are some problems - try to split it). Known problem is also when filename of the ZIP archive is to long or contain any special characters - rename into some simple like "file.zip" and try again.

Thanks tpog and Piotr GRD for your most helpful replies  smiley

I didn't consider that 110mb could have different servers that could be down so my site would be unavailable; that server status page is a great resource!

I did rename my file  and it was a little under 1MB but was still having a problem, I saved the folder with JZip ( I was previously using zipgenius) and then I made sure I'd ticked the box next to the zip file after I uploaded it and it worked and uncompressed.

Not sure if it was renaming, rezipping with a different program or something else but it worked which is great.

Once again thanks for your help- much appreciated  cool
