Hi Dear Colleagues,

It's my first time entering in an on-line market and I want to sell few items on my web site.

I need your opinions, comments or if you have something to share about your experiences on accepting payment methods and delivering goods to your customers.

I already have Paypal on my mind and still undecided yet before opening an account there.

Thanks and best regards,
Ronaldo Rueda

Paypal is the standard for a lot of people, I use it, so does 67% of the world! It's the easiest way in my opinion.

I see.

On their web site there are 3 account types: Personal, Premier and Business.

I should select Premier Account right? So I could sell and accept payments?

Is it also possible that a Personal Account could accept payments?

There is an annual limit on how much you can accept in a personal account.

Just wondering what is the disadvantage to using a premier account compared to a personal account?

I beleive they take more cash off of you for using the service, but your intake limit is super high. So basically your not winning either way.  cheesy

There is no free lunch. If you are getting more service, you will have to pay more.

I use paypal... it has never charged me a penny.

I guess I have a personal account.

I use it rarely, to be honest.  Simply for rare transactions such as for this site, various miscellaneous site transactions and for auto-draft payments, such as when I used Napster.

Otherwise, I use my debit card for online purchases with trusted sites.

Stay away from PayPal, or at least read the terms and conditions VERY closely, otherwise your going to get screwed by them.

ESI so sorry but I don't understand what you want from MB.

MB have receive functions just like PP and you cannot receive paymants from Adsense, Adbrite neither with PP or MB (at least in my country).

They change policies from time to time so best to make sure and check their site. Here is PayPal's fee structure https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

I have since moved on to use iTransact which also has a virtual terminal feature that allows me to process offline charges as well. They also integrate really well with most shopping cart applications out there (I use them with VirtuMart for Joomla, osCommerce and ZenCart).

There are many options for merchant accounts including your bank. I would suggest looking into those before settling on PayPal. While they are reliable they may cost you more in the long run.

No, Moneybookers only have Upload money function from your bank account in your country, Send money function from your Moneybookers's account and Withdraw funds function from your Moneybookers's account. I made an account on Moneybookers with personal account type. With Paypal, your personal account may have Receive function from any ads network support payment via Paypal's account.

Nope you're wrong.

I have all function with MB and that include sending, receiving, upload, withdraw ... I test all this and everything work perfect.

With PP I have only option to send money and that's all. I also test this and even contact PP support.

Because all this I prefer MB.  wink

P.S.

I only speak about my Country.

I have only one good recommendation which pay with MB and that's Oxado network:

Please register via my refferal link:

They pay when you earn 100 Euros.

Hope this will help you.  wink
