We've all seen these threads. Someone would post a support thread and receive some help; and then he or she would post another question, and another, and another... until it becomes clear that he or she is interested only in getting others to do all the work. We've all tried to help such individuals (*cough* james *cough*), but they are never satisfied.
And then there're those who post in all caps, use annoying styles, and throw smileys all over the place... those who'd start their own threads instead of adding to existing threads documenting the same problem... and those who'd come here with the sole intention to rant against the community. And then they'd bump their threads all too frequently.
This is a request, not a demand: please do not reward such behavior. It degrades the quality of discussion and deprives others of help. It would suffice to tell them where help could be found (either link to a page or Google). Instead, let's reward good behavior: there are plenty of members who post politely and deserve help.
What do you think?

geez, would you please stop pointing fingers? the point is to see if this is fair. then, when the moderators come around, these threads could be cleaned up or merged.

I'm all for cleaning and merging and dropping dead weight. I have a handy little ascii annoyance / no help bar ______ | | Contines to PM me for random help [Added to PM ignore list / never visit another of their topics] | | Gets in over their head, all of the below, and starts PMing me / others because no one is answering |xxxxxx| Asks random questions in random topics because they're too lazy to google |xxxxxx| Continues to ask questions google can answer |xxxxxx| Asks a question google can answer (xxxxxxxx)
They'll stop being helped eventually. Just a matter of when they finally reach everyone's unique threshold.

I agree too, if one posts such a thread, best thing is to report it.

Forums itself is slowing down, rarely anyone talking about useful things, or anything funny.
Now it's full of arcader spam, noobs that don't read before they post, and bad 'grammer'.

It goes slower for YOU because it has to add the list of bans, but it simply goes the same speed for us as it always does: slow.

Late to the topic, but I think this is the correct motive for the forum. The whole 'treat others as you would like to be treated' etiquette.
