I got another idea for the name (a bit too late though): HTMaiL. HTMP is good too, but you should really implement the use of this protocol - this would mean an external app? And yes, the shorter one is better.

Thanks for the suggestion. I snagged htmail.co.cc for good measure  Hm, an external app would work just fine. At the moment, the client is an online app as well. It would be awesome if I could write up a Python client or something. |

I was just thinking that the protocols usually are associated with an external app. Like skype:// (Skype), ed2k:// (eMule/eDonkey), usenext:// (UseNeXT), chrome:// (Firefox), ftp:// (browser or FTP client). So htmp:// could launch your app.
