This has to be a joke. I'm a programmer of 20 years, and the fact is, 110mb's web builder login is broken.
I have been creating a couple of sites at work, and have come home and found I can no longer log into my sites!!!!!!!!!
1) I FULLY understand the idea that you need to access your webbuilder interface from 110MB's Control Panel link.
2) I FULLY understand 110mb has some kinda encoded "magic" password going on when you click on their link. Im unsure why they have chosen this method.
But, the fact is, the web builder login is broken, and no one is going to fix it. All the webbuilder PHP code is encoded, so I can't give you a quick fix. Otherwise I could have sent a fix to remove the 110mb login code.
Hey, I think 110mb is a great service, but please, can someone fix this issue, and stop assuming that us users don't know better.
Kind Regards Derek John Evans

20 years programming or are you saying you are a 20 year old programmer?
If you have been programming for 20 years and are soley reliant on a online web builder and file manager, then you have a ways to go in devlopment.
Use a stand-alone code editor and use FTP to upload.
FTP login works fine.
I agree it can be frustrating when the inability to login limits your ability to develop and upload, but that simply is not the case here.
I DO hope 110mb fixes is soon, as not logging into control panel deletes your account after a period of time, unless they turned that function off until they fix it.

hmmm weird... well... if you site or sites are all on 15 i believe the data was lost completely due to some company they sent to get it recovered but that is what i have been told... but all my sites work... (logging in) they are on boxes 5,11,12, and box 14... and they ALL logged in fine and all filemanagers work too... http://d3xt3r.net/stats110/scan.php according to this site they are all fine... just make sure you were not on box 15 and registered before the 28 of aug or thats why you cant log in... also if any sites violated or possibly look like they may violate them they will suspend you or possibly remove the account completely... 20 years programming or are you saying you are a 20 year old programmer?

sparklingdiamonds is talking about login to admin panel of website builder, not to the 110mb CP. Lot's of peoples have problems with this and will have until the login method will not change. This should be normal login, not with prefilled encoded password, as at the moment there is no possibility to change password in website builder etc. And if you change password in 110mb CP, then you can no longer login to website builder. More reported problems/bugs related to Website Builder here: http://www.110mb.com/forum/admin-bugsproblems-report-in-website-builder-t35584.0.html

Unsure if anything will be fixed at this rate Ok. Basiclly, 110mb have a Kludge working. You click on the link within your 'control panel' which passes login information to the web builder interface. Im guessing, the password is decoded via javascript. (I could be wrong, but that seems to be it) You then press "login" and bingo, you get an error. Now, why is this system here at all? I don't know why. I can guess the installation of web builder includes a system generated password. (Maybe). Then to provide some stupid security protection, 110mb sends the password via HTTP which is then decoded via javascript. mmm. Maybe. I have to check out the code. But, it would seem a login depends on the IP address of the requester. WHO KNOWS. JUST FIX IT!
Yes, thats 20 years of coding. Tell a community group that they have to learn HTML, PHP, JSCRIPT and FTP to maintain their site!!! Like really! Ok, The scores of the latest kiddy netball was 12 to 14. Are you really expection these guys to learn IT just to put up the latest scores! Hey I can code, but 110mb has a purpose, and that is to provide a service to groups who cant pay for hosting and dont have the knowledge to maintain a site via modern scripting languages. And that's the issue here

the difference being you dont speak for anyone but yourself, even though you ASSume to. if you have 20 years programming experience, then it isnt an issue for you, is it, since you haveall this experience in stand-alone editors and the knowledge of ftp uploads ? I hope you know that WYSIWYG stand-alone editors exist as well as raw coding editors, so your comment about someone needing to learn "coding" is irrelevent as both exist. I believe anyone with problems that cant be rectified can speak for themselves as they have in the past, and quite frequently. Since you are a coder with 20 years experience, whats your problem here that you cant seem to recitfy without administration intervention ? Dont try to speak for anyone but yourself. Personally, I think your problem is it (site builder) isnt working for you and its got you miffed, but you dont want to look like a beginner, so you say you have all this 20 years of programming experience, which completely contradicts all possible reasoning on using a sitebuilder, because anyone with that much experience wouldnt go near an online site builder ... at least anyone any good wouldnt IMO. at any rate, give them time to iron out the bugs ... and until then use a stand-alone editor and ftp.

I didnt state anyone was stupid, nor did insinuate such. Heck I am not the one who made the last comment you quoted. That was OP. I have no problems with people who use site builder nor problems with those that dont code. I do have problems with self-proclaimed experts with "20 years programming" experience posting like they are speaking for anyone but themselves, creating a bitchfest, insinuating that site builder makes or breaks the service because the "expert" in question cant seem to find a way to administrate and develop his site without the online site builder when all they need to do is open up notepad, code editor, or wysiwyg and an ftp client. He makes no sense at all. He either is a beginner and a liar, or just likes to complain. 110mb will work out the bugs eventually. All the bitching in the world isnt going to make them work any faster.

oh no i know you didnt say it but i just noticed now that i should of quoted it differently i was talking about him and not you you are like most if not all others that they dont care if some one uses it or not like me... so sorry for any misunderstanding and hes possibly both but if he complains about something he is using yet he claims he can use with out it then hes prob a beginner too even if he has 50 years of experience... although it is his choice to use it but also then complaining about something he Should be able to do something with ease it kinda points to being a beginner none the less... if he was not he would really try to point out the issues in a calm fashion and in a manner which shows he is experienced in what he claims but sorry for giving you the wrong impression

"bind" and "The Melancholy Of 110mb.com". Ya both a bunch of idiots.
Who cares what I know or what the client knows. The fact is, when you hand over a site, the client expects to be able to f ing login. Its a simple issue. You log in, and then you expect to be able to edit your site.
You are both on drugs or lack the mind power to comprehend logic.
And im sure you will upload more insain ramblings after this post, and im sure your local chemist keeps you well supplied with enough mind numbing dinosaurs crap.
