Welcome to 110mb and the forums.

Normally, Site Builder will pre-fill the password field. Unfortunately, at the end of "STEP 1" after you have selected the template etc, Site Builder presents a signon screen with blank userid and password. You should close this session and select "STEP 2", if you try to signon it will fail and then may cause subsequent problems:

Can't login to Site Builder?

e.g. "STEP 1: Start Site Builder Now!" or "STEP 2: Site Builder Admin Panel"

Do not change the pre-filled userid / password fields, just click "Login". The pre-filled password should be an encrypted version of your password, 30+ characters long, masked with asterisks.

If you have previously typed in the password, clear any saved passwords from your browser before trying to login again:
  • Firefox: Tools - Clear Private Data - (select "Saved Passwords" only) Clear Private Data Now
  • IE6: Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete - Clear Passwords - OK
  • IE7: Tools - Delete Browser History - Delete Passwords

If this still doesn't work, try using an alternate browser to see if this gets around the problem.

If you have recently changed your 110mb signon password, this will affect the Site Builder password.

Either: Click on link http://www.box16.110mb.com/wizard/help/help/site-builder-license-update.htm and follow instructions on how to access the admin panel for Site Builder - make sure that only the License box is ticked - enter your new password - Select "Go" - use this new password each time you access Site Builder. This is recommended

Or: If you have not made significant changes to your site, you can repeat Site Builder step 1 to build your website, this should re-synch your Site Builder password with your new 110mb password. WARNING - This will overwrite any changes you have already made.

Can't login to 110mb control panel (CP)?

e.g. http://www.110mb.com/login.php or http://box16.110mb.com/login.php

- Check status of the Admin IP address, for example via http://110ss.lesley.uni.cc/
- Check Caps Lock off, password is case sensitive
- Follow the links to retrieve password via your userid and email address and try again

110mb Support

e.g. http://www.110mb.com/support/

The userid and password for using 110mb Support is separate from your 110mb userid/password which is also separate from your forum userid/password. Register from the above link to use this service.

It is also worth searching the forum, as many of these types of issues have been raised many times before. This may help you find the solution much more quickly.

Hello there .
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right or not!
I just registered with 110mb.com to build a website, but I can't find the Website Builder. When I search the forums I find letters saying something about Step1... step 2 but I can't see these either. Am I just on the wrong page? huh

After you have signed on, from the 110mb control panel:

(the formatting can be screwed up, so the links might be obscured by the black borders)

Edit:

(You don't have to use Site Builder)

I have two accounts, and manage one for a friend, but have trouble EVERY time I want to log in to Sitebuilder.  Am I going to have to clear my passwords EVERY time I change which account I'm working on?  If so, when is this going to be fixed?

What browser are you using? Can't you just specify you don't want to save passwords for that specific site?

re-read the above - for Site Builder you shouldn't be typing the userid or password (unless you've changed it previously).

Hello,

i'm kinda lost.
I got this 110 page, so I can sell my product, which is customized specialty software.
Is it against the rules to sell software on 110mb?

It will not let me save execuatable files in the file manager.
anyone know the solution to this?

you are not allowed to host files for downlading purposes unless you have certain upgrades (15GB filespace upgrade)
you will get unlimited filetyoes uploads when you have $19.95(or 19+) worth of upgrades

...i see.

then whats all this "free site for selling" that 110 claims?
I can't sell anything if they can't download it!?

I really can't make any sales until i get this "upgrade".

They should allow at least some limited form of download, so people can see how well it works before paying for it.
Unless, someone can tell me how i can deliver a .exe file to a buyer, I will probably try somewhere else.

thanks for the responce.

You should be able to put your .exe file in a .zip file and it should upload.  .exe's are blocked from direct upload because they lead to people trying to share pirated software.

@ALWS - not sure from the first part of your description whether there's a problem or not? Could you explain further if there's still an issue.

For the slogan issue, you could try widening the header field. Unfortunately, this is in the index.php file which you can't change, however you could paste the following code at the start of the page to override it (via "paste HTML code" icon on bottom right of WYSIWYG tool bar, when editing the page):
Code:
<style>h1 {width:600px;}</style>

I don't know what impact this may have on other aspects of your site.

@mipisoenalmeria - What box are you on? Currently working ok for me on box 17, don't appear to be any issues being displayed on the status monitors.

Are you trying to access via the 110mb control panel or via the /admin/ url? I would use the former.

What browser are you using? Did this work previously? Are cookies allowed & javascript allowed?

Try disabling any Firefox add-ons in case they're causing a problem (e.g. "HTML Validator" causes me problems).

Try temporarily stopping your firewall in case that is blocking something.

Have you tried using IE?

Otherwise - I've no idea!
