TNX

You as well??, a warm welcome to the ever increasing club, seriously though, there's no doubt about it, there's something not right here with the site builder, I've tried everything, I just cannot get back into the site builder since  I changed my password, it seems that once we change our passwords it won't accommodate it, none of the advice here is working, someone needs to get in contact with the site builder IT team to get them to look into this, it's ridiculous rolleyes.

Welcome to 110mb and the forums.

Normally, Site Builder will pre-fill the password field. Unfortunately, at the end of "STEP 1" after you have selected the template etc, Site Builder presents a signon screen with blank userid and password. You should close this session and select "STEP 2", if you try to signon it will fail and then may cause subsequent problems:

Can't login to Site Builder?

e.g. "STEP 1: Start Site Builder Now!" or "STEP 2: Site Builder Admin Panel"

Do not change the pre-filled userid / password fields, just click "Login". The pre-filled password should be an encrypted version of your password, 30+ characters long, masked with asterisks.

If you have previously typed in the password, clear any saved passwords from your browser before trying to login again:
  • Firefox: Tools - Clear Private Data - (select "Saved Passwords" only) Clear Private Data Now
  • IE6: Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete - Clear Passwords - OK
  • IE7: Tools - Delete Browser History - Delete Passwords

If this still doesn't work, try using an alternate browser to see if this gets around the problem.

If you have recently changed your 110mb signon password, this will affect the Site Builder password.

Either: Click on link http://www.box16.110mb.com/wizard/help/help/site-builder-license-update.htm and follow instructions on how to access the admin panel for Site Builder - make sure that only the License box is ticked - enter your new password - Select "Go" - use this new password each time you access Site Builder. This is recommended

Or: If you have not made significant changes to your site, you can repeat Site Builder step 1 to build your website, this should re-synch your Site Builder password with your new 110mb password. WARNING - This will overwrite any changes you have already made.

Can't login to 110mb control panel (CP)?

e.g. http://www.110mb.com/login.php or http://box16.110mb.com/login.php

- Check status of the Admin IP address, for example via http://110ss.lesley.uni.cc/
- Check Caps Lock off, password is case sensitive
- Follow the links to retrieve password via your userid and email address and try again

110mb Support

e.g. http://www.110mb.com/support/

The userid and password for using 110mb Support is separate from your 110mb userid/password which is also separate from your forum userid/password. Register from the above link to use this service.

It is also worth searching the forum, as many of these types of issues have been raised many times before. This may help you find the solution much more quickly.

But my password isn't 30 charcters long and i just get **************** as my password

@kingjoe186:  This indicates that your browser is putting your "saved" password in its place.  You need to clear your browser's saved passwords and try again.

Apparently the site builder log in is programmed to convert our pasword into different symbols etc that are 30 characters long, what I don't get is why they bother to do this when we are already logged anyway, nobody except a genine user can get to the site builder login in the first place so it's a pointless nd rediculous security measure which only causes us genuine users hassle as you can see here because it can't even update automatically new passwords that we get rolleyes

Actually, I tried it again and this time I got to the site builder log in and both the password and username fields were empty, so I tried filling them in with the info, namely new password and username but it still won't let me in, so is there something else that needs to be done here for the log in to recognise the new password??.

another problem is when you use FTP on the above mentiont boxes the following apprears.

Status:   delayed connection
Status:   Adresresolve from ftp.110mb.com
Status:   connect to 64.191.15.150:21...
Status:   Connection made.. waiting for welcome message...
Error:   Cannot read from socket: ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer

Well I rest my case here, there is definatly something not right with the site builder, for peats sake if so many are having the same trouble then surely the site builder admin need to be contacted by someone in authority here to get them to sort this out, it's rediculous, I still can't get into my site builder either to do any more work so at the moment I'm concentrating on the forum side of the whole site project I'm creating which is separate from the main site (thank God) and isn't giving me any problems at all, so I know it's not me and I've never had any trouble like this before with sites and I've built a few others with no bother, so can someone here in charge please look into this, I don't mean to be funny but how many more posts will it take from me and others to tell you that something is wrong??.

hi
some details are saved in the local system.
sometimes your older login details are mismatched with the new details..
it may be happens when you login after change in password..
one of its reason is may be mismatching with old files which are saved in your system..
try to delete all private data then login again.

I followed the instructions on this page, but still get a Username or Password incorrect message. Why don't they just simplify things so we don't have to come here to figure out how to do something as simple as putting in a password?

Amen to that massdemand, this site builder is a joke frankly, what should be a simple thing has been turned into a major complication and for what I don't know huh, actually, I haven't been back here for a while, I've been busy concentrating on the forum side of my site, there is a different host for that, because to be honest I got so sick and tired of the problems I have been having with the site builder here for the mainsite project that I am trying to build in conjunction with it, I tried everything that was said here to no avail, I've now just re-registered and made a complete fresh start here, pages of work lost for good evil, so I'll just have to build from scratch again, hopefully there won't be anymore hitches and glitches with it, I'll give it one more chance, anymore problems and I'll be looking for another main site builder altogeather because I really don't need all this unecassary hassle over something that should be a peace of cake.

Clearing all my private data worked for me.  But I'm not sure it was worth it.  Now I am spending hours pouring over crappy templates.  Is there a way to sort through these??  My website is a personal one, not professional, and all of these templates are pretty generic and geared towards logos and taglines.

I'm new, and hoping you can give me reason to stick with 110mb.  Certainly not as easy as they claim.

Thanks in advance.
