I was using skyDrive yesterday, and a servey popped up - keen to keep this new service going, i answered it. The second to last question was :

Quote
Would you pay $50 a year/month (cant remember which one) for more space and bandwidth

So much for unlimited, I think this is why MS is so unpopular, nothing be free - or even cheap, you have to pay an arm or a leg or both for any of their services

I actually like skydrive, as you can upload any filetype. Hopefully that upgrade will be only put in place if anyone answers that question, but with MS track record theyll probably just cancel it and work on their next "Scam"

P.S : SkyDrive is MS shot at filehosting

Now now, you can't expect to get everything for free, can you? Even Microsoft has bills to pay.

very true, but I wonder, when there are a lot of other free file hosts around. actually for that price you could pay for proper hosting and use that as hosting.

same with irc when msn chat went paid which is probably why it died

Don't get me wrong I loved msn chat when it was around

So much for unlimited...
Nothing was ever unlimited. There was 5GBs total space and nobody really knew how much bandwidth.

You can still get 5GBs free and if you ever run out (idk how) you could just make another account.
