I don't understand the point of this topic. But I'm pretty happy with 110MB even with the recent problems since it doesn't cost me a thing.

Paid hosts go down too sometimes, you know.

Paid hosting is not allways the best.
There are many paid hostings with big downtime and low quality. 110mb is free and good quality hosting. It has a large COMMUNITY which can help you solve any problems with your site. It has some features disabled but that is not a reason to complain. You can use other scripts which can replase those functions that are disabled. You won't find such a reliable free hosting service anywhere else so you should be happy with what you have.
Why there are so many complaints? Because most of users don't really understant the difficulty of running a hosting service. It takes some time to solve server problems and Users should be more understanding.

People tend to think with free hosting they are paying, I know 110mb is free, that's why I do not bitch about it. If it was not free, and it was down all the time then yeah, I would bitch. I don't get why people demand answers, as 110mb offers this free, they do not have to give you poop.

What my experience is, may also count for new users on the new boxes. I have been member for 1,5 years now, and the first months were though. Constant downtimes, slow MySQL, alot of changes. All of this was resolved when the load came off my Box, number 9, when registration was moved to the next box. If you can get through the initial pains of your box, you will have a great time here. I already upgraded 2 accounts here, and I am not sorry for it.

i fell that 110mb is the best host ever, i could have gone for a host like it, but only offered a tiny amount of space, i could have gone to [bad host] but i didn't, i came here. the only complaint i have should go to my bank, my card wouldn't work on the pay for upgrades page. but i don't care, this host is the best, i may never leave here untill i shut down my site.

paid hosting has it's place and so does free hosting, but in 110mb's defence they do offer great service, their customer support is superior to most paid hosting, and the community support here is the best of seen.

As far as free hosting goes 110mb is at the top of the list. They listen to and care about their members. In the beginning of each box their are usually a lot of small problems, but even then the system admins clear it up as fast as possible. In the end nobody should be complaining about much of anything. Once a problem is brought up, the sys admins take care of it asap. You never see downtime lasting that long without the admins posting about it and letting you know they are on it. Chances are if you go to the tech board when something is wrong, the first 3 or 4 posts are exactly the same. Why not read them and see if it describes your problem. If you cant take the time to read a post or two, why should someone take the time to read yours. Another thing I have noticed lately is that when a user gets a few posts in a thread they started that give answers they dont like, they delete the thread and start a new one with the same question. I know many members dont speak english as their first language, but do they look at the language specific board and try to get help there? Most of the members here are more then willing to help but get sick and tired of trying to decipher what someone is asking, as well as reply with a response they just gave to someone else with the exact same question. In the end I think the support board should be treated as more of a professional board. Most people are putting [admin needed] and such, but if you look at the post it is very not well written and most of the time very informal. If you are trying to ask something from an admin wouldn't you want to try and be as formal as possible. Think of it as talking to your boss or someone you want to do something for you. You would try and be as nice and as through as possible in what your asking. Yelling at someone (all caps and or bold) is not helping in what you want done. If you can show that you put effort into looking for an answer or show some code that you have tried, members dont mind using their time to help fix your problem.
If you actually read all that WOW. If not, I understand why. It took me like 15 min to write while I was doing 3 other things. So it jumps around a lot probably.

lol maybe, but it is pretty much true, I am very informal myself (using lol for example) but some of these people, you can't even understand. Let me find a good example quick http://www.110mb.com/forum/can-i-use-other-ports-on-110-than-80-t36659.0.htmlActually I'll quote it in case he changes it now... I think I read in the, I would like to place site impaired menu systems in a series of request response type interactions only the origin request is digital the rest is auditory. connection made then I respond to a mutual middle location where both client and host are listening. More less say hey in request this is callname log respond same call name somthing like write file for call session........ live process listening.. ie. service online.......
I think out loud a lot my apologies.....
Before I move on to these thing I must get my cron call to work and take apart a web e-mail client. The topic is sort of ok, but read the post, you can't even follow it. You can't tell me he was even trying to be make it easy to read, bad grammar is one thing, but not even caring to make it easy to understand is another thing all together

I dont mean you have to write a formal letter or anything, but you should be as respectful as possible when asking a question. Use words that make sense and dont get mad when people have no idea what your talking about.

my point was though, that of clarity not formality. It's easier to help someone if they at least try to be clear

The reason why so many people complain is because they always want more.

i agree with most people replied in this thread. People request for help or complain some problems the suffered should try to be clear with their problems. formalities is one aspect to attract people to read their post. I don't mind about it at all. But people always prefer those that wrote politely. people don't like reading through rude posts like What the F***! My website works wonders yesterday, and today it went down. what the F*** are the admins thinking?! Jerking off while working?
... well, thats not quite it.. but you get the idea (its hard for me to come out with words like the above >_>) anyway, the point is.. 1. be clear 2. be polite not rude 3. of course grammar.. (doesn't really matter if people understand what you are trying to say) *the 3rd goes well with me .. my grammar is broken, but my english is decent (i believe).
