Ok, my brother usually uses a program called "Jazler Radio" to play songs at night. Well, I really don't want to keep restarting my PC to change OS's because it's hard on the motherboard. (I fried my old one by restarting, lol), so I was wondering if there is some kind of software that will randomly play songs out of a chosen folder for linux.

Couldnt you use just about any media player, make a playlist, or set to shuffle?
For example Songbird is compatiable with windows linux and mac i believe.

No, because we have over 10,000 songs, and some are in other folders and such.

Modern media players should be able to handle playlists with 10000 songs. And if your media player is like Amarok, you could just drag the parent directory in.

I have tons of music, somewhere around 20 gigs, in about 3 different places, some are even on an external hard drive thats not always plugged in and it does fine keeping them indexed.
