I thought this was funny. No offense to any IE users, and please, as always, just a friendly joke, no flamewars please.

Sorry but so true but css is actualy good, the simple answer is to float and clear and to use wrapper divs with images to do backgrounds

Firefox = Not Standards Compliant Windows is not bloated, users make it that way because of how much software is available. How can you bloat an OS that has little for it? (Linux)

For me it's the other way, the IE segment being Firefox. Also, that is so untrue, it doesn't take a few seconds to make it W3C compliant, most people don't even do it. And when they try to they don't understand half the things. I've read a lot of their documentation (By no means the majority, it's worse than the law). Anyway I know how to fix any of the problems before it even tells me (Of course sometimes I have to use it, it's like a spell check), so for me it's pretty fast.
And I know the CSS/table feeling, only I don't eventually crack, I just keep going for the rest of the day, lol.

I hate that, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING TABLES. Who said that there is some official web standard? Idiots.

It effects search engines for one. And it also makes highlighting and copying text more annoying. However, I think the main reason is just because it's a convention to not do so. I guess it just seems unprofessional. How much easier it would be to just use tables though *sigh*.

I used tables before, all you must do is hide them, and nobody would ever know unless they viewed your source.

Well tables are old, div's and CSS are like the new fandangled technology I still use tables every once in awhile, but thats only for organizing some data

Actually you can tell. If you highlight a page, moving your cursor in unusual ways, you will notice a different effect between the two. Also, if you copy it into word, it will bring over the table if you use tables. Also, it can negatively effect search engines, because they apply special effects to tables. Search engines want you to only put data into tables and headers should be in <th> instead of <td>.
