Hi everybody

inp o҉rtb gave me this excellent backup script.
The only problem is that it was russian, so I decided to make an english translation of it.
inp o҉rtb helped me to make the translation in good english (I just did russian to english)

I did ask the site for permission, and they allowed this:

We now create the new multilingual version of aSypex Dumper, and english version of our site. But any interested person can freely use your translated version.

so as you can read by yourself, you see that they're working on an english version too, as soon as it gets released I'll post it here too

What's so good about it?
-> no more problem with interrupted downloads: the script creates a file on you account with the backup (uncompressed, gzipped or bzipped) that you can download by ftp
-> same for restoring
-> you can do it with even the largest database you can imagine

Please note that while you are able to create and restore dumps of unlimited size, you are limited by at least two things --
1) you are limited by your storage space provided by 110MB (though if your DB is that large, you might consider paid hosting)
2) you are limited to the upload limit (currently 8MB) by 110MB

Thanks for getting this out there, Clookie. Nobody took me seriously when I promoted this software before because it was in Russian. I hope that it gets some good use now before the official international version is released; there are so many people complaining about being unable to backup their databases.

Please note that while you are able to create and restore dumps of unlimited size, you are limited by at least two things --
1) you have less than 2000MB on your account for the file
2) you can only upload 10MB [now 5MB]

Yeah I would, but in the mail they sent me, they said they're working on an english site/version... so it wouldn't be necessary anymore...

They're probably putting their messages into a big array, then selecting the messages based on language. It would certainly make sense...
