easy, register a google email.
then, adjust your mail server settings on the Configuration > Server and fill in as follows

note1: be sure to get yourself fsock enable first..
note2: dont know/never heard of fsock? Search the forum
Code:
Mail From : [b]yourGoogleEmailAdress[/b]
From Name : [b]yourWebSiteName[/b] or [/b]yourAdminName[/b]
Sendmail Path : [b]/usr/sbin/sendmail  [/b] <---leave this as it is
SMTP Auth : [b]No[/b]
SMTP Host : [b]gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[/b]

added

if i am not mistaken (forgoten) the fsock was once allowed to all access untill someone abuse it and made andre change the fsock policies. Which means you all need to get at least 30 post in the forum before requesting fsock enable (last time it was 100 O_O).

I followed your instructions but I got this:

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com:25 (Unknown error) in /www/110mb.com/x/x/x/x/x/x/x/x/xxxxxxxxx/htdocs/joomla/includes/phpmailer/class.smtp.php on line 105

any ideas?

@mylonojr
SMTP mail uses the fsockopen() function in php - to be able to use this you must qualify. See the knowledgebase article:

DarkRaito, does this method require members to have fsockopen enabled on their accounts? I'll check anyway...

I believe it does require fsockopen(), as the script has to communicate with Google's SMTP server somehow.

What a dumb question. BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO CONNECT TO YOUR SMTP HOST TO SEND MAIL!

Hey, people! Joomla! is extremely CPU-intensive and highly unrecommended by admins and the Support Team. Don't use it!  smiley

Really nice tips, thanks for your share.
I already have fsockopen() so but I'm not trying to use Joomla!, since it's really slow for me.
Whatever, thank again. cheesy
