I just 'copy and paste' my answer, 'copy and paste' being in inverted commas because I actually retype it. I inform them of the problem and link them to the main thread.

Although huge amounts of people read the topics or search or something, some don't. It turns out that there are like 11,000 signing-up in a reasonably short amount of time, shown by the box 15 hard drive crash. The fact that a lot look at topics or search is shown by the topic 'domain already in use'. There were huge amounts of replies from newbies there. Also shown by the 'post your sub-domain to get it recovered' topic.

Its like freshmen at my high school, I want to punch them all in the face because they are very very very very very very very very very very (do I have to keep going?) annoying...

I seriously and I am not lying, never remember me or my classmates being as annoying as they are now (I am a Junior now), even my teachers think they are more annoying and disrespectful then ever. And they get worse and worse as the years go by, no offense to anyone though Duh

But yes, I ignore annoying posts like that here too Smiley

Typing in bold and capitals is a hangover from more active communities. Places like GameFAQs and the GMC a lot of people are ignored simply because there are so many people. Here, basically nobody gets ignored, but they're new so they don't know that. GameFAQs actually has a filter to block people from writing in all caps.

Even in those forums though posting in all caps/bold is considered bad manners, it always been part of netiquette

I know why freshmen are anoying in HS and it is a proven facts... <<< was proven to me on the bus (normal not viva <<< still striking Sad)

Have too much freedom
teachers really in many ways let them do what they want now under HS
when at home their parents dont give a poop what they do...
Normally pampered like babies when it comes to HT poop like the PS3 blackberries etc...
^^^^ This one was true on the bus... this bitchy teen (acted) grabbed every ONEs attention even mine (i had my PSP playing LOUD music and still able to hear) at the back of the bus... and she was bad mouthing her parents saying that she had them wrapped around her feet etc... at a point i needed to stop playing my PSP (went from music to game... still did not work angry) and was forced to listen the bitch talk about her parents badly... the funny part was no one said nothing about it even though im sure every one did... but when they wanted to go by i refused to move my legs Duh (had them stretched out...) and i made sure the person before was able to go by with out a problem :S but that was one... so many others during the strike have no respect for others... <<< cuz they are spoiled... if it was not agents the law to hit a person for bad mouthing their parents or any one else im sure the 5 people sitting close to her would of Cheesy

one other time 4 teens had the nerve to disrespect the bus they were on... (well one any how...) She (notice how the females seem to be more wonderful persons now and days then guys ~_~) put her feet on her BF (i guess) and since it was crowded then and i was there i got hit by her stupid boots... well long story short i stood there even though the bus was empty yet it seemed not to bug them... bus driver never said a word either cuz he though we were friends or saw her feet there... but none the less... i was close that day at slapping her feet off of him saying this is your stop... and believe me i could make the bus driver force them off grin Prob because i know a few people who work for them rolleyes

Yeah, and I agree with you Melancholy, kids these days have no respect. What I was little, if I talked back, I got smacked, or if I disrespected, I got grounded or would have to face the back-hand of my father. As the old saying goes, if you love your kids beat them. No, I don't mean like harmful abuse like beating your child into submission, but your child should fear you, and know the difference between wrong and right. I know it's common for single parents to raise their children, some do a good job, but most do not. Many let their children roam free, and let them "get their hands dirty", well, that's what is ruining society.

Kids shouldn't fear their parents, that's what's wrong with society. The reason most teenagers rebel is because they no longer fear their parents. However, they aren't going to lose respect for their parents for no reason, generally.

actually i think they should fear them... and teachers look at the 20's to 60's were parents could beat the sh!t out of kids and teachers hit them with yardsticks sure we got a few nut jobs from that but not as many as we are getting today... the law has allowed this to happen and no one else... parents can still hit kids but if others think it is too much they can get them taken away and charged which is bull... and BTW i have found troughs who have not been beaten (or fear their parents) have no or very little respect for their parents and others around them... (like the examples given above) i dont look forward to working with about half of the population as it stands now... both females in the examples... (and the one guy) will find it very hard to keep a job... and i would never higher anyone who would not respect me or their parents... (parents only if given a very (and i mean very) good reason) so i would have to agree with manic with this one the community is going down hill faster then the USA economy... Cheesy <<< bad joke Duh

LOL

The USA economy is going down hill.  cheesy

lol i know but the respect to parents are going down far faster then usual (compared to 5-15 years ago before the law was redone and all that sh!t but the good thing out of all of this is that they noticed that people were going out of control when they are young and in the usa you all know the kids around 12-14 who were shooting their parents claiming they did not know how to work it yeta bla bla bla... till then they blamed the parents for not keeping it out of reach... but now if your even 6 and found that you knew WTF you were doing you will goto jail grin which is good as that would make them relize they dont get away with nothing undecided

and specking about disrespect to others there is some dumb dude who is forcing me to see things which i dont want to see...

Look I know this is kind of an old cliche but no arse whoppings hurt me as a kid, it's simple cause an effect you do a bad thing, you get the punishment, you won't get away with doing bigger things such as killing/murder when your older, by getting arse whoppings when your little, teaches you not to do the bad things in life smiley.

so maybe not fear your parents, but fear the smacks of retribution, yes.......

I see people want a system of punishment. Well, before we could institute punishment, we must set up logical and specific rules. We can't just see a guy write in all caps and go "yep, let's ban his arse and tell him to @#$% off." Because in most situations, he's gunna @#$% off Duh. Many of these people have the potential to be useful members of society... just like we did when we didn't know better ourselves.

well not just punishments but warnings too, like maybe starting unnoficialy from a mod saying something along the lines of

hey, just a friendly notice, it is considered bad manners to post in all caps. and just building up from there.

Here is what I would like see happen (in logical sense):

1. Members who post in caps should be issued a warning on their first offense, on second offense, poting moderation. Third: banned.

2. Any member spamming with usless topics should have those topics deleted, or be put on posting moderation.

3. Any member insulting, or disrespecting one another should be given a warning, and the post modified, second offense: banned.

4. One topic per day in questions, condense loads of topics the user creates about the same subject into one, ect.

5. Members should be limited on numbers of emoticons they can put in their messages, to say, ten or so at the most.

6. Members who double post should have those posts removed, with the "Bump rule" exception. Second offense: post moderation, third: banned.

POTING moderation? trust me if they had this type of problem they would be arrested Duh Cheesy

2. Any member spamming with usless topics should have those topics deleted, or be put on posting moderation.
useless... but agree Wink

3. Any member insulting, or disrespecting one another should be given a warning, and the post modified, second offense: banned.
well it depends on the degree of disrespect... just like James he got banned in one shot grin

4. One topic per day in questions, condense loads of topics the user creates about the same subject into one, ect.
but but but .... cry sometimes one topic aint enough... and tell you the truth changing the title and annoy the people who were in that topic before getting spammed in their updated topics section is kinda dumb... how about a reasonable amount of posts with a reasonable request?

5. Members should be limited on numbers of emoticons they can put in their messages, to say, ten or so at the most.
Oh? so i cant do this cuz this rule makes me laugh? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin shocked (-2 more Duh)

6. Members who double post should have those posts removed, with the "Bump rule" exception. Second offense: post moderation, third: banned.
YEA i love this one evil Cheesy cool i think some need to be changed but over all good idea...
